Reiki is a simple gentle yet effective method of working with universal energy and is non-invasive. It is a complementary therapy thats works alongside conventional veterinary/medical treatment and may be used safely for all conditions and have no adverse side effects, working on 3 levels - mind, body & soul. Horses are amazing animals with great intelligence and a wonderful energy. They don't have to be ill to receive the benefits of Reiki. It will help give them the "feel good factor" allowing them to give their best with calmness and efficiency. However if they are ill in any way, Reiki gives them the energy they need to help heal themselves. I regularly give Reiki to my own mare to help keep her well. Healing may be safely used for all conditions and have no adverse side effects. Healing reaches throughout the physical body as well as the mental and emotional. It is a natural therapy and works with the individual. Reiki can be used preventatively and can produce inner calm and relaxation. Healing can help other treatments work on a deeper level. One treatment may be enough but sometimes a few treatments are needed depending on the condition. VETERINARY PERMISSION MUST ALWAYS BE SOUGHT PRIOR TO REIKI AND MUST NOT BE USED INSTEAD OF A VETERINARY CONSULTATION/EXAMINATION. Reiki for yourself can easily be carried out at your horses stable whilst you sit in a chair, or at your home if preferred. Again, it is non-invasive and holds no religious attachments. An intelligent energy that goes where it is needed the most.
