Institute of Family Therapy Malta Training Institution

The Institute of Family Therapy Malta (IFT Malta) was established in 2011 to further contribute towards securing the well-being of families and individuals in Malta and Gozo. As an Institute, IFT Malta is currently working to provide high quality training and clinical work in the field of Systemic Family Psychotherapy with families, couples and individuals. The Institute is an Associate Member of the Training Institutes Chamber of the European Family Therapy Association and also an Institutional Member in Good Standing of the International Family Therapy Association. The services offered by IFT Malta include training to professionals in Systemic Psychotherapy and related therapies; individual, group, and family psychotherapy; family mediation; family education to the general public; consultation to organizations and professionals in relation to clinical practice; clinical supervision to organizations and professionals in relation to clinical practice; systemic consultation to public or private organizations ; research on family related subjects; constant liaison with other institutions. IFT Malta is also committed to deliver education programmes for partners, spouses, and parents, children, schools and organizations to promote well-being in society, based on positive family and work environments, and a healthy balance between the two.

These books provide age-appropriate guidance to parents as they deal with the trauma of separation and as they deal with their children's concerns during separation.
Available both in Maltese and English.

L'abort u s'suwiċidju, l-istess bħas separazzjoni, huma rejaltajiet li jirreflettu d-diffikultajiet li tinsab is-soċjeta, fuq kollox l-ewropa. Aktar mil-kriżi morali, wieħed tajjeb iħares lejn il-kumplessita soċjali li qed ngħixu u t-tkabbir ekonomiku, li dejjem kellu rabta maż-żieda ta dawn ir-rejaltajiet. Tkabbir ekonomiku jiġifieri flus u aktar flus. Meta ħadd ma jkun interessat fil-"wellbeing" taċ-ċittadini tistennewx li jsiru mistoqsijiet serji dwar għalfejn qed jiżdied is-suwiċidju, l-abort u s-separazzjoni. Anqas w'anqas minn min jiffoka biss fuq l-ekonomija fit tkabbir tal-gdp, li huwa l-kejl li biħ Malta trid tirripondi l-ue. Jekk se tibqgħu biss timxu ma dak li trid l-ue, tistennewx li dawn ir-rejaltajiet se jonqsu. Anzi stenna li jiżdiedu. Dan jgħidd ukoll għal vjolenza, l-addictions, mard mentali, etc. Insomma, l -biża tiegħi hi li dawn iċ-ċirkostanzi problematiċi jinħolqu jew mill-injoramza ta min imexxi, jew deliberatament biex iddur ir-rota.
