Dandelion tea 💛

Rich, strong, bitter, earthy.

All the components to aid and increase digestive enzymes in the body.

Tastes like coffee but boasts so many benefits.

Antioxidant
Anti inflammatory
Liver support
Skin health
Heart health
Helps stabilize blood sugar levels

I love the roasted dandelion root and add in 3 tsp of dried wattle seed to the jar and give it a good shake up. Bonus that it’s served in a beautiful glass jar that I can reuse for dried herbs from the garden for the pantry.

My new fave wallaby meal.

Diced wallaby from Woolworths.

Sprinkled with salt, Tassie pepperberry and sumac and let sit for 10mins before pan frying. Push to one side of the pan and add the broccolini and zucchini.

Served on quinoa with hommus and some crispy chilli oil.

And the final touch which is reminiscent to our time in Cambodia, squeeze a fresh lime over the cooked meat for an amazing burst of zing and to highlight that gorgeous meat.

If you’re new to Wallaby, this is the dish you want to try!

Wallaby is a lean meat, high in protein and a good source for Omega3, which is anti inflammatory. Wild caught in Tassie so you know it’s as natural as can be 💚

How much fresh food are you eating each day and do you space it out or have most of it with your nightly meal?

Salads are a great way to get extra veg in during the day but not every day feels like a salad day so taking a snack box can be a great option.

I’m loving snackable radishes at the moment 💚

Each year I complete a 10 day detox phase to give my body that full yearly cleanse just like I do with the washing machine and vacuum cleaner 😆

I use a practitioner grade detox supplement that not only moves my body into detox but also provides essential components to spring clean and do a maintenance check on my gut lining.

Tastes like a creamy vanilla, I mix with cocoquench and water and extend my first meal out til mid morn.

I also modify my diet during this period to low inflammatory foods and I take the time each day to stretch, do gentle exercise and complete a lymph body rub.

If you’d like some support to complete a refresh/detox then be sure to book in on the website. You’ll follow a guide which includes recommended food guide and recipes as well as the supps.

My sisters were over for lunch on the weekend and one of them kept talking about her addiction to salt and pepper tofu and I’ve been craving it ever since 😜

I cook my tofu the same as I cook white fillet fish. Roll it first in seasoned cornflour (I’ve used salt, Tassie mountain pepper and sumac) and gently panfry it in olive oil. It’s so crispy and light and stays crispy 🙌

Served with celery, apple, parsley, cos lettuce, soaked buckwheat groats and some toasted tamari sunflower seeds I always have on hand. Squeeze of fresh lime to finish.

How does it compare to the main macro/nutrient values relevant to women’s health??

Protein 27gm
Fibre 12.6gm

Iron 35% rdi
Magnesium 57% rdi
Calcium 53% rdi
Phosphorous 50% rdi
Zinc 45% rdi
Vitamin c 23% rdi
Folate 20% rdi

Not a bad addiction to have at all hey 😜 thanks sis for the inspo, maybe I’ll make it for lunch next time you come over

Have you tried it? And would you now?

Found in her natural habitat, the perimenopausal middle aged mum can be found walking the terrain in her weighted vest with scary determination while she mentally plots her weekly family grocery lists 🤭

In all seriousness though, loving the 5kgs vest to add that little extra to my walks, hi uncomplicated strength training! The zig zag just got that extra little more huff and puff 😆

Mostly though, I’m trying to increase my strength aptitude for pack wearing while bush walking with my hubby who is a natural mountain goat.
