HOW LIBIDO (URGE TO DO S*X ) IS MAINTAINED:

My libido is very low and I just can't be bothered with s*x at all.' A lot of women report drop in their s*x drive with progressing age and a busy lifestyle.
Now the question arises- How to improve Libido?

Interestingly, just a few changes - maybe just one step in the right direction of healing your adrenals (and don't forget your thyroid) - can be just what you need.

1. Stay positive: Negative thoughts and emotions can sabotage your best efforts at relaxing. Just like diet, thoughts and emotions become habits. Concentrate more on what is going right. Be happy contented for all you have and don't crib for what you don't have. If you don't find anyone to talk start maintaining a diary. This exercise will give a boost to your thoughts

2. A balanced diet: It has been observed that a diet comprising of processed foods, too much sugar, over-dependence on drugs and antibiotics can weaken your immunity, pave the road for early aging and cause diseases like cancer because health begins in the digestive system. Your goal should be to have a balance of alkaline and acidic foods so that you can maintain the alkaline state of your blood. If you get out of balance and your blood becomes too acidic, you become more susceptible to illness and disease. The foods that have been marked as taking a special role in boosting libido are: asparagus, cheese, figs, avocado, fish, raw oysters, basil, bananas, turkey, liver, eggs, aromatherapy essential oils, coffee, chocolate, celery, vitamins A, B, C and E, Ginkgo, brown rice, Ginseng, arginine, and Don Quai. To read the role of these foods, read the article, Top 10 foods to boost your s*x life.

3. Exercise: (not again!) As much you would like to ignore, aerobic workouts (running, biking, swimming) not only improve blood flow to s*x organs but also boost your mood, pumping up 'feel good' brain chemicals called endorphins. An increase in testosterone levels about one hour after work out can leave you feeling s*xier. Do avoid overstraining yourself, though, since extreme exercise
actually lowers testosterone levels.

4. Ban Stress: Too much stress increases the stress hormone cortisol, which causes testosterone to plummet. Find a way to tune out for 15 minutes a day, whether through meditation, yoga, chilling to music, or schmoozing with a friend.

5. Detox once a week: Your body cleanses every day through elimination, urine, tears, and sweat, your body rids itself of toxins that would otherwise build up and could lead to sickness and disease. Fevers, colds and skin eruptions are actually a natural part of the cleansing process and shouldn't be suppressed. Cleansing allows your body to restore balance and occurs when imbalance is too great and threatens life.

6. Cut back on the booze and ci******es: Smoking robs the blood of oxygen, due to narrowing of blood vessels compromising the flow of blood to the body and the s*xual organs. It also saps your stamina and most people don't like kissing an ashtray. Alcohol is a depressant and drinking it in high amounts will have a negative effect on libido.

7. Lose extra Weight: Being overweight can affect not only your self-esteem and your feelings of s*xuality but you're likely to suffer from blood vessel disease which can reduce essential blood flow to the ge****ls. According to a recent study conducted by Binks and his colleagues at Duke, up to 30% of obese people seeking help controlling their weight indicate problems with s*x drive, desire, performance, or all three.

8. Reflexology: The areas corresponding to s*xual desire and libido are the big toe and the ankle. Applying pressure onto the big toe is believed to stimulate the release of s*xual hormones while the area around the ankles is responsible for ge***al arousal. Just massage your partner’s feet and observe his or her response. This exercise helps you understand each other on a whole new level and makes you sensitive to each other’s needs. Reflexology is a completely natural technique which can be safely carried out at home. Even those who are not sure of its benefits wouldn’t mind some loving foot play!

9. Add a spark in your life: Recent research shows that partaking in new and challenging experiences with your partner can boost the brain chemical dopamine, which helps fuel s*x drive. These don't even need to be in the bedroom. Enter a race together, on a tandem bike. Get a little lost on a wilderness hike—without a map. Host a game night with friends where each couple kicks in $30 and the winning pair takes all.

10. Consider Supplements: This herbal remedy made from the leaves of the gingko biloba tree, is known to improve blood flow to the brain and s*xual organs. It is thought to have an enhancing effect upon desire, excitement and or**sm. Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) could be useful, since it's critical for the manufacture of s*x hormones in the adrenal glands. Choline, meanwhile, purportedly helps to enhance levels of acetylcholine, a brain chemical that sends s*xual impulses from your brain to your s*x organs.

Causes for Missed Period – Not Pregnancy

If you’ve missed your period, you’ll want to go to the doctor to rule out pregnancy. (You should also take a home pregnancy test to confirm that you’re not expecting.) If you’re not pregnant, your missed period may be due to the following:

1.Stress and anxiety – Stress isn’t good for your body, and it can cause you to have delayed ovulation. When you don’t ovulate at your normal time, this can mess up the regular timing of your menstrual cycle. As a result, you have a late period. Sometimes, you are so stressed that you don’t ovulate at all. So you will have a missed period that month.

2.Excessive weight loss, or weight gain – Losing a substantial amount of weight, or gaining too much weight too quickly can cause you to experience menstrual problems, like a missed period or a delayed period. In order to have normal menstrual cycles, you need a specific amount of body fat.

If you are overweight, you have too many fat cells. This can cause you to produce too much estrogen. As a result, you will experience missed periods or no periods at all; and you may become infertile. This is the reason that many obese women suffer from polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS). Losing weight is often one of the best ways to treat PCOS and regulate your periods.

3.Contraceptives – Some women who take certain birth control pills don’t have regular periods. They can have missed periods or irregular periods.

Birth control that is injected or implanted can also cause you to have irregular, missed or no periods at all.
After a year of getting regular shots, over 50 percent of women on this birth control will stop having their periods at all. This is normal side effect.

If you have Implanon, a common side effect are irregular periods, missed periods, and unpredictable menstrual cycles. Some women experience more vaginal bleeding than before they used this contraceptive. Other women experience less bleeding (such as spotting) or no periods at all. The time in between your periods may also change.

4.Breastfeeding – When you breastfeed exclusively, the hormones that are allowing lactation to occur can block ovulation and your regular menstrual cycle. Some women won’t have their period again until their baby is eating solid foods. In other women, their periods may return sooner.

5.Eating disorders – When you have excessively low body weight (i.e. you’re way too skinny), this can interfere with hormonal functions, which might stop ovulation. These abnormal hormonal changes are the reason that anorexics and bulimics often stop having periods.

6.Rigorous Exercise – Women who participate in activities and sports that require them to undergo rigorous training often experience skipped periods or no periods at all.

7. Medication – There are some medications that can disrupt menstrual cycles. For example, some chemotherapy drugs, anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, and oral corticosteroids can cause you to have missed periods, or no menstrual periods at all.

8.Hormonal imbalance – When you have hormonal problems, it can change the levels of hormones that your body requires to support ovulation and the menstruation process. For example, one common cause of irregular periods is polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS), which causes high levels of estrogen and androgen (the male hormone), rather than fluctuating hormonal levels common to a regular menstrual cycle.

9.Problems with your thyroid – Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) can cause you to have missed periods and other menstrual irregularities.

10.Uterine scarring – If your uterus is scarred from disease or medical procedures, this can prevent the normal buildup and shedding of the uterine lining common to a regular menstrual cycle. As a result, you may have very light periods, or no menstrual periods at all. .

How to Cope When You Miss a Period

If you have missed your period, but you’re only a week late, try not to stress out. There’s a possibility that your period is just late. Obviously, you should take a home pregnancy test (or two or three) to ensure that you’re not pregnant.

Contact your healthcare provider and make an appointment to see your doctor. You may be asked to undergo a variety of tests and examines to pinpoint why you’ve missed your period.

Your treatment will depend on what’s causing you to miss your menstrual period. Your doctor may prescribe medication to help treat you, or he may recommend that you make certain lifestyle changes.

The bottom line is – don’t stress out if you have a missed period. Some women miss their periods now and then. Chances are your period will return next month.

Foods to Improve S***m Count and Quality

Getting pregnant is not always as easy as we think it should be.

One common problem is a low s***m count, but the good news is that there are foods that are not only super tasty, but super good for s***m.

Asparagus -
That little green vegetable that gets so much flack for what it does to the smell of your urine actually has some fantastic powers over s***m. The ridiculously high amount of Vitamin C prevents s***m from oxidizing, and it protects the cells of the testicles.

Avocado -
Summer is the perfect time to pick up some yummy avocados for guacamole… and a hot night at home. Packed with vitamin E, vitamin B6, and folic acid, avocados boost s***m motility and give it the strength to pe*****te an egg.

Bananas -
Upon reading that this fruit can help your guy out, we had some giggly flashbacks to Drew Barrymore putting a condom on a banana in Never Been Kissed. Ph***ic shape aside, there are some awesome things going on in bananas to help increase s***m count. Bananas have a rare enzyme in them called Bromelain, which has been shown to regulate s*x hormones. There’s also a good amount of vitamin B1, vitamin A, and vitamin C which will help increase his stamina and boost his body’s ability to make s***m.

Beef -
This was a little surprising to us given that doctors are constantly saying to lay off red meat if you want a healthy heart. Lean beef, though, is a fantastic source of zinc. A little research on the Dr. Oz site told us that zinc has protective properties that keep free radicals from getting at your man’s little swimmers.

Dark Chocolate -
There’s no s*xier food to bring into the bedroom than dark chocolate, but now, it’s not just the seductive taste you’ll want it for. Dark chocolate contains L-Arginine HCL, an amino acid related to the arginine in walnuts. It also doubles your guy’s s***m count and semen volume. Men who eat a little dark chocolate everyday have also noted that they have stronger and more intense or**sms. BONUS: it does that for you, too. *wink*

Garlic -
Along the same lines as ginseng, garlic possesses the power to increase blood flow. The chemical allicin not only helps keep plaque from building up in the arteries, it also improves the flow of blood to the ge****ls and boosts the strength and endurance of the s***m. Garlic also contains selenium and vitamin B6 to prevent s***m damage and regulate hormones.

Ginseng -
it is recommended for guys who are dealing with less than impressive bedroom scenarios, but a little more online research tells us that men in Asia have been supplementing ginseng into their diets for centuries because it improves virility. In fact, ginseng increases libido, s*xual performance, and aids in blood flow to the testicles. In a study at Southern Illinois University, 45 men with erectile dysfunction were put on a ginseng regimen, and at 16 weeks, 60% of those men reported having stronger erections.

Oysters -
The fact that oysters are an aphrodisiac was first presented to me in the form of S*x in the City. The process of feeding to each other and sucking down the slimy little things really gets people going. Did you know they also have s***m count increasing benefits? A good portion of a s***m cell is composed of zinc, which oysters are relatively high in. Eating oysters can not only increase s***m production but it can aid in the repair of damaged s***m.

Pomegranate -
This is the most super of all super foods. It seems like it can truly cure whatever ails you from the common cold to low s***m count. Because of the intense cocktail of antioxidants in pomegranates, the juice can lower a chemical in the blood called malondialidehyde. That chemical destroys s***m, so drinking pomegranate juice is like putting a super hero cape on all those s***m so they can destroy the evil free radicals and get to the egg just in time.

Walnuts -
In high school, we were given a comparison between the size of a walnut and a testicle. Strangely enough, size is not the only link between them. Walnuts contain arganine, which helps the testicles to increase s***m production and also aids in semen volume increase. It also contains Omega-3 fatty acids which improve the blood flow to the p***s. These nuts also have twice the antioxidant power over other nuts so they do a great job of protecting the little guys, too. BONUS: eating 7 walnuts a day lowers cholesterol and the risk of heart disease.

Ways To Boost Male Fertility Naturally

SAVE
The presence of couples unable to conceive is an increasingly common scenario in my clinic compared to two decades ago. About 35 percent of couples experience conception problems in Pakistan, and this percentage is growing. Infertility is defined as the absence of conception after one year of regular in*******se without the use of any contraceptive. Men are responsible for this problem at least 40 percent of the time. Where modern medicine has developed its own technical solutions for assisting infertile couples in getting pregnant, complementary medicine can also offer its own assistance in increasing male fertility. Before attempting natural remedies, it is important to rule out any underlying treatable medical conditions.

1. Improve s***m count

Heat can also reduce s***m production. Hot baths, sitting for long periods of time and tight-fitting underwear that constricts the te**es can all elevate temperatures long enough to suppress s***m production.
The anti-ulcer drugs cimetidine and ranitidine have both been reported to decrease s***m count and produce impotence.

2. Reduce chemical exposure

The semen of the average man today has half the s***m, and of poorer quality, than 50 years ago.

Use office paper products whitened without chlorine.
Use only non-bleached coffee filters, paper, napkins and toilet tissue to reduce dioxin exposure.
Avoid chlorinated tap water, chlorine bleach and other chlorinated products; use hydrogen peroxide as an alternative.
Eat organic food as much as possible to avoid pesticides and herbicides.
Avoid synthetic deodorants and cosmetics; use only organic products whenever possible.
Avoid animal products with a high fat content that contain hormones, especially conventional milk and dairy products, chicken, beef.
Avoid alcohol and caffeine.
Avoid fried, charcoal-broiled or barbecued forms of cooking.
Eat lots of foods high in antioxidants (carotenes, vitamins A, C, E and selenium) such as green leafy vegetables, kale, carrots, citrus, broccoli, cauliflower and yams.

3. Improve diet

Getting plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes can help boost fertility. Also avoid to***co, refined carbohydrates, coffee, tea, alcohol and foods with artificial additives.
Maintain your ideal weight. Food deprivation in men leads to a loss of s*x drive and structural changes to reproductive tissue leading to infertility.
Obesity, on the other hand, can be associated with a low s***m count and impotence, possibly because of higher temperatures caused by excess fat near the te**es.

4. Exercise regularly

According to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, regular exercise (five times a week for at least 45 minutes) and a healthy diet enhance fertility by keeping body weight at normal levels and relieving stress and anxiety.
Excessive amounts of exercise (marathon running and associated training) can be a cause of infertility because it can lead to amenorrhea (absence of menstruation) in women and a lowered s***m count in men.
If you are not sure what type of exercise is best for you, get yourself a personal trainer. He or she can give you an exercise program to bring your weight and fitness levels into the ideal range.

5. Take nutritional supplements

For men, the most important supplemental nutrients to enhance fertility are vitamin C and zinc. Vitamin C (2,000 to 6,000 milligrams daily) helps prevent s***m from clumping or sticking together, thus improving the chances for fertility.

Zinc supplementation (100 to 200 mg daily) has been shown to increase testosterone levels, s***m count and s***m motility. High zinc sources include oysters, organ meats, lean beef, turkey, lamb, herring, wheat germ, legumes and nuts.

Arginine is an amino acid the body produces from the digestion of protein. It is found in high amounts in the head of the s***m. Although not available as a supplement in Canada, arginine has been shown to help low s***m counts and poor motility. In high doses, arginine is also a potent dilator of arteries, leading to better erections. Food sources of arginine include nuts, chocolate, meat, poultry, fish and dairy.

Other nutrients that have been shown to improve s***m counts include essential fatty acids (9 to 12 grams daily), chromium (1,000 mcg daily), selenium (200 mcg daily), copper (2 mg daily), vitamin E (800 IU daily), coenzyme Q10 (400 mg daily) and B-complex vitamins (50 mg daily), especially vitamin B12 (1,000 mcg daily).

6. Try herbal helpers

The herbs listed below may be effective for improving erections, s*xual desire, blood flow to the s*xual organs and general s*xual health with virtually no side-effects:
panax ginseng (Korean ginseng): 500 milligrams, 1 to 3 capsules daily
saw palmetto berry: 80 mg, 1 to 2 capsules daily
muira puama: 500 mg, 3 to 6 capsules daily
ginkgo biloba extract: 250 mg, 1 to 3 capsules daily
rhodiola rosea: 500 mg, 1 to 3 capsules daily
nutmeg: 500 mg, 1 capsule daily
h***y goat w**d: 500 mg, 1 capsule daily
elk antler velvet: 500 mg, 1 to 3 capsules daily
Tribulus terrestris: 500 mg, 1 to 3 capsules daily
Since s***m formation takes almost three months, it will take at least this amount of time before experiencing the benefits of a nutrient supplementation program.

Causes of Male Infertility
inadequate s***m production by the te**es
poor s***m motility
varicocele (dilated veins in the sc***um)
undescended testis/te**es
excessive xenoestrogen (environmental estrogen) exposure
infectious disease of the epidydimis (storage tube for s***m), te**es, seminal vesicles, urethra, prostate or vas; benign prostatic hypertrophy (enlargement)
endocrine (glandular) diseases affecting the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, adrenals and the te**es (e.g. low DHEA and low testosterone levels)
conge***al abnormalities
urethral stricture
malnutrition, especially protein deficiency
Infertility Statistics

Ten to 20 percent of all men have low s***m counts.
Two to three percent of all men are completely infertile, producing no s***m at all.

Eighty-five percent are treated with conventional medications (synthetic hormones) or surgery to repair diseased reproductive organs.

Manage your stress:

"How about a simple vacation? How about communicating with your partner?"
you should spend some time out of the work and try to minimize your tension by exploring the new ways to love each other. Spend some time together , it may be family hangout or country trip or trip to some resort etc.
"People are overworked and stressed, and they translate their overworked, stressed lives to a lousy s*x life."

Eat fresh and Healthy food:

Arteries clogged with saturated fat don't bring as much blood to the ge***al area for arousal purposes. Hence the correlation between heart disease and erectile dysfunction.

But excess weight also messes with your hormones. "Obesity can shift the balance between estrogen and testosterone," says Michael Krychman, MD, executive director of the Southern California Center for S*xual Health and Survivorship Medicine in Newport Beach, Calif. And low testosterone can bring down your s*x drive.

Nutrition counts too. For example, an iron deficiency can lead to fatigue, which in turn can lead to low libido. (Eat your broccoli!)

If you want to be "hot-blooded," then improve your circulation. Physical fitness can increase blood flow, which in theory can make s*x more pleasurable since s*xual arousal for both men and women involves increased blood flow to the ge***al area. And that can increase desire itself—if it feels great, you tend to want to do it more.

Exercise boosts endorphins, which lift your mood, and it can increase your energy. Not to mention that being toned makes some people feel s*xier and fresh.
