We believe that progress happens when people come together.

This year, our expanded WELL 2025 Global Events Series featured 25 Summits around the world. Thousands of attendees committed to driving change by showing up to learn, connect and celebrate.

We could not have done this without the generous support of our Global Event Sponsors.

Thank you, Panasonic, Milliken & Company, Shaw Contract, Daikin U.S. Corporation, GSK, Corvias, Johnson Controls, Lutron Electronics, Kaiterra, WellStat, Aon, CBRE, R.Evolution, Sloan, Sanofi, Excel Dryer, uHoo, Epsten Group, a Salas O'Brien Company.

There is still more work to do to solidify the adoption of people-first places. Help us continue this momentum and join us at our upcoming NYC WELL Summit on January 29: https://events.wellcertified.com/WELL2026/

: Across global markets, investors, regulators and companies are seeking clearer, more credible ways to demonstrate progress on social sustainability. IWBI’s Sustainability Leader Profiles highlight organizations that are shaping this emerging landscape — pairing ambition with measurable action. These profiles feature international organizations, real estate companies, financial institutions and public-sector partners that are integrating people-centered strategies into their core business, investment and financing practices.

In our first published profile, we spotlight the UN Global Compact Network USA and how it connects American businesses to the wider UN system—helping it align with the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to turn universal values into corporate action.

Today, IWBI leadership (President & CEO Rachel Hodgdon and EVP Jason Hartke) joined partners from 21st Century School Fund, the National Council on School Facilities and Allied for Progress to meet with Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) and his team. As a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and long-time education champion, Senator Reed is a key figure in our joint briefing calling for urgent federal action to close the massive funding gap for America’s public school facilities.

The Reality: 60 millions of students, teachers, administrators and support staff are walking into buildings—many over 40 years old—plagued by failing HVAC, leaky roofs, and inadequate learning environments. This puts basic health, safety, and education standards at risk.

This meeting is a crucial prelude to the release of the 2025 State of Our School Funding Report this month. Stay tuned: We are committed to making every school building a healthier and resilient place to learn and grow.

: Congratulations to the University of Florida Student Health Care Center on achieving WELL Certification at the Platinum level!

ā€œBecause of the project-specific scope of being the Student Health Care Center, it really was a no-brainer for our upper management and leadership to embrace this—it directly supports our mission of providing excellent health care services for our students and staff,ā€ shared Dustin Stephany, Sustainable Building Coordinator with UF Planning, Design and Construction.

The project prioritizes health through abundant daylight, biophilic design and circadian lighting, along with access to nature via a rooftop garden and green space. Sound-masking technology improves patient privacy, while advanced HVAC systems support everyday care as well as infectious disease preparedness.

Designed with long-term resilience in mind, the facility also allows for up to 50% future expansion, ensuring it can continue to serve the UF community for years to come.
