Both of these are marketed as electrolyte sports drinks.
So....
1. Which would you prefer for your child?
2. Which do you think costs more? One of these is $0.89-1.20 per serving and the other is $1.00 - 1.65 per serving. Can you guess which is which? 🤷♀️
Here's My PSA: 👇
34g of sugar per serving? 😱 The recommended max sugar intake for a child is 25g a day, and the APA recommends limiting fruit juice to 8 ounces per WEEK. Yet sugar lurks in cereal, bread, pasta sauce, peanut butter, yogurt, snacks and more. 🙄
Parents think nothing of giving their child athlete two or more of these sports drinks in a DAY!🤦♀️That’s 3x their daily sugar intake BEFORE you feed them! 😡 That sugar stunts their growth, causes the brain to cease to function properly, increasing ADD/ADHD/depression, anxiety, mood and behavior disorders. 😥 It also destroys the gut microbiome by feeding bad bacteria , viruses and yeast, while damaging the environment for healthy bacteria that protect them. It increases inflammation, risk of all disease and instances of cancer. Childhood obesity is at an all time high and adult onset, type two (diet related) diabetes now affects 24% of children! This should terrify you‼️ The Gatorade, Powerade or Body Armor will literally undo your child’s athletic performance and over time it will cause their physical and mental health to steadily decline. Even if your child is outwardly thin, systemic inflammation affects their organ function and leads to diseases like asthma, migraines, joint pain and weakness, muscle atrophy, auto immune disease, etc. So I'll ask again... which would you prefer for your child⁉️
