I have been a yoga instructor in various forms for over 8 years and have guided classes at Blooma (Twin Cities, MN), Heartwork Yoga Studio (Northfield, MN) and independently (both virtually and in-person). I also lead various yoga classes at women’s retreats and outdoor getaways and teach "Yoga on Tap" at Imminent Brewing in Northfield, MN. Aside from my 200-hour training with the House of the Gathering Yoga School (HGYS) in Duluth, MN, I have additional trainings and certifications in prenatal/postnatal yoga**, trauma-conscious yoga (including, but not limited to, epigenetic trauma), yin yoga, and yoga therapy. Overall, I prefer to guide yoga through the lens of self-trust and accessibility with the intent to hold space for somatic exploration and unfolding through the asana practice. I am passionate about making yoga feel safe, sacred and transformational for all. I believe that the body - not just the brain - holds an infinite amount of wisdom and knowledge. With this as a foundation, my classes exemplify the idea that through the practice of yoga we hold the key to unlocking the wisdom that we hold within - if only we are brave enough to simply show up. Holding space for that unique discovery process to unfold for each individual is what I strive for. I am also a DONA-trained Birth & Postpartum Doula and received my trainings through Blooma. I was specifically educated as a postpartum doula by Debra Pascali-Bonarom, founder of Orgasmic Birth and co-chair of the International MotherBaby Childbirth Organization (IMBCO). I have also taken "Breastfeeding for Doulas" training aside from having personal breastfeeding experience with my own children. A lover of the outdoors, wood burning stoves, good books, and traveling, I am here to help you explore your inner landscape and move forward with a sense of grounding and connection. Please reach out if you have questions or wish to simply connect.
**In addition, I am trained through Blooma in Bring Your Own Baby (BYOB) Yoga, modeled after Lisa Bergley's Yoga Bonding sequence, which invites babies and their caregivers to bond through loving touch, sight, sound, and movement.
