How does the 340B Drug Pricing Program strengthen provider–patient relationships? Sharif Alhamed, ACCESS provider, explains that by lowering the cost of outpatient medications, 340B helps providers focus on what matters most: supporting patients' health instead of worrying about financial barriers to treatment.

340B ensures drug manufacturers offer key outpatient medications at major discounts to safety‑net hospitals and community health centers supporting underserved communities.

You can help ensure that the 340B program continues providing access to affordable medications by urging IL state legislators to pass HB2371 SAM 2: https://iphca.quorum.us/campaign/157515/

What does the 340B Drug Pricing Program mean for Illinois communities? It means patients can afford their medications. It means safety net hospitals and community health centers can keep their doors open and grow. Best of all, it costs the state and taxpayers nothing.

ACCESS CEO, Mahomed Ouedraogo, joined CAN TV to make the case for why protecting the 340B Drug Pricing Program — and passing HB 2371 SA2 — is critical to keeping medications affordable and improving health outcomes across Illinois.

This federal program requires pharmaceutical manufacturers to provide outpatient drugs at significantly reduced prices to safety net hospitals and community health centers serving low-income and underserved patients. These savings are reinvested directly into expanding critical services, including mental health care, creating jobs and increasing staffing. Without 340B, countless Illinoisans lose access to affordable medications, and community health centers lose the ability to grow and serve those who need them most.

You can help ensure that the 340B program continues providing access to affordable medications by urging IL state legislators to pass HB2371 SAM 2: https://iphca.quorum.us/campaign/157515/
