Due to the weather the office is closed today. If you have an urgent issue and must speak with a physician please call our service at 631-689-4289.
Here are some snowman jokes to help get us through whats left of the storm and the clean up today. At this point all we can do is laugh and hope Mother Nature gets in a better mood.

Dr Ryzova is convinced my snowman tree is the cause of this crazy winter so in an effort to change the forecast it is coming down today. I’m not sure that’s the miracle we need so if you have an appointment for Monday it’s safe to say that’s not happening. Please call the office to reschedule if you haven’t already done so. If you have a sick child today and need them to be seen they will be in the office for about another hour so call now. Otherwise we will be available through service if you have any urgent medical questions. That number is 631-689-4289. If you want to cancel your appointment after the office is closed you can email me at admin@friendlymedicalgroup.com and I will check that later today. Don’t send urgent medical questions by email as it is not routinely monitored. We will touch base again here Monday to give you updates. Let’s pray the sun comes out as the tree comes down!!!

On behalf of Dr Doughty, Dr Ryzova and all of the staff at Friendly Medical Group, we would like to wish all of our patients and their families a Happy New Year. Thank you for choosing us to help you along the journey of parenthood. We want to celebrate with you during the good times and hold your hand through the challenging ones. We hope that 2026 brings you and your family nothing but health and happiness. May you only need us for well visits this year!! And speaking of well visits, if your child hasn’t had one in a while make sure you schedule that. Lets get everyone up to date this year!!!
We will be enjoying today with our families and we hope you will be with yours as well. The office will reopen tomorrow as usual. 🍾🥳

Sadly its time for Sam to return to the North Pole. Sam is a very special elf because he has lots of boys and girls to report to Santa about so it’s only fitting that he get special treatment. Tonight Sam got a personal es**rt from NYPD’s finest back to the North Pole. And who could leave New York without seeing some landmarks like the Verrazano bridge, the Empire State building and of course the Statue of Liberty. A special shout out to the officers who took great care of Sam on his journey. While we enjoy Sam’s silly adventures during December we are sad to him go. Goodbye Sam!!! Thank you for keeping a good eye on our patients and assuring that everyone has a magical Christmas. Until next year- Sam is officially off duty. 🎄🚔🚁

Sam and his friends are swinging through the halls today on a last minute watch of boys and girls. The office is open now but we are only there for another hour or so. If you want your child to be seen you need to call NOW otherwise we won’t be back till Friday. As always our after hours service line is available if you have any URGENT issues. 631-689-4289.

Poor Sam was so bored on Sunday with an empty office that he thought he could watch “U” tube all day. Sadly he was confused on what that even is. Luckily for him (not so much for us) we were so busy today that he had plenty of boys and girls to watch over. I’m sure he has a lot to tell Santa tonight. Santa only has a few more days to make his Naughty/Nice decisions- have you been good???
