Locum Physician for Associate Position

Job Details: Our client in Surrey, British Columbia is looking for a full-time and/or part-time locum Addiction Medicine Physician who is compassionate and pragmatic in their approach to addiction care. This is an associate position and is available immediately. The incoming physician will build a practice through the clinic seeing telemedicine patients and in person patients for opioid addiction treatment. Experience in addiction treatment would be considered an asset. Additional training in addiction treatment will be required.

EMR is proprietary, and the facility offers billing support. Payment structure is fee-for-service, split arrangement is 70/30 with some forgiveness in the first months, and the range of potential annual earnings is $250,000-$350,000.

Clinic Details: The treatment centre staff book all appointment, manage patient flow, take care of billing, and manage the centre. The facility operates Monday – Friday and is located close to transit and is easily accessible. Our client operates a network of facilities and is committed to making their organization the employer of choice in the field.

Requirements:
• Addiction Medicine Training in addition to Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC) Certification

Within the program, specialized programming is offered to Health Care Professionals, Young Adults, and Uniformed Professionals. The centre also offers groups to individuals struggling with co-occurring eating disorders, depression, and anxiety disorder. In addition to the Addiction Only Stream, a fully integrated Addiction-PTSD Stream is offered.

Requirements:
• Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA
• Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC)
