What You Will Need

3 Tbsp Hibiscus Flowers

1 Tbsp Arrowroot powder –

3-5 drops essential oil
Coffee grinder

Fine mesh sieve

Sweet almond oil

Storage container

Small bowl

Direction:

Combine the hibiscus, arrowroot and essential oil into a clean cofee grinder. Process in intervals until the mixture is a fine powder. You can use lavender, tea tree, rose or whatever essential oil you prefer. This gives it a pleasant scent and provides additional skin benefits, but isn’t necessary. If you choose to use a very potent oil, like cinnamon, only use 1-2 drops to prevent irritation.

Run the powder through the seive and into a bowl. If you’re container is large enough, just use that instead. This will w**d out the largest particles

Tips that make this work

To make it really stick to your skin, apply a thin layer of sweet almond oil (or another skin safe oil like olive, jojoba, castor, avocado, etc.) to your cheeks. Allow this to soak in a bit and then apply the blush with a brush.
Be sure to grind the hibiscus flowers with the arrowroot, not separately! This really combines the two and saturates the arrowroot with color.
