It was in the merit of the women that we were liberated from Mitzrayim. Women whose husbands wanted to divorce them ( meaning the men didn't want to bring children into that ugly reality). The women, however understood the sacred role of their physical union. Connection to eachother, and by extension to The Divine in pleasure, consent and joy is the key to Mashiach aka Healing.

🧿🌿

If you identify as Jewish, have a menstrual cycle, and are interested to learn what Judaism says about sexuality, relationships, pleasure, consent and more join me. We need this now more than ever. Any level of observance/knowledge welcome.

🧿🌿

Four Wednesdays in a row starting Nov 8 6-730pm AZ MST. Recordings available to those who register.

am so excited to offer this! Inspired by my beloved midwife 🥰

🌿🧿

This class is geared towards pregnant women who cover for any reason. I have a background in dance, and when I started to keep tzniut (modesty) I didn't feel comfortable dancing in the same spaces I used to. After being influenced and learning about different Mizrahi dances with Mizrahi Dance Archive, I started dancing again regularly a few months ago. it has been so healing for me to have a safe space to let my hair down, dance and tap into my sacred sensual feminine. Grateful to !studio and all the ladies there for acomodating my privacy needs🙏🏼💗

🌿🧿

My class is a mix of all styles I have been influenced by in varying degrees: raqs sharqi (bellydance), West African, Congolese, salsa, bachata-I love to move to good music! My class is focused on how you feel rather than how you look. We start with an opening meditation, talk about optimal fetal positioning (more on this below), stretch, then learn a few simple dance moves that are good for opening the pelvis and rest of the body in preparation for giving birth. We have fun and dance across the floor, then we end with more stretching and a closing.

🌿🧿

All dance levels welcome, and though this class is geared towards the pregnant body-nonpregnant friends/sisters/doulas welcome!

🌿🧿

Optimal fetal positioning is about how to move in daily life to encourage baby to get into 'optimal' position for being born with the most ease.

🌿🧿

Local Easy Bay Area friends, spread the word! Can't wait to see you there!

I feel the weight of all that has *almost* been lost...its a heavy blessing to be the one in the family to remember. To keep the old garlic press. Do things differently. Reclaim the ways that were violently forced out.

🌿🧿

I believe the way into the Mashiac era is to bring the vast wisdom of the past forward with us. The best remedies are often the simplest ones. Answers lie within. We can choose to tune in.

🌿🧿

Bad energy, germs, disease, negative vibes, evil eye, ayin hara- these are all different terms for the same entity which causes us ailments/dis-ease. For optimal wellness we should have a balanced approach-there are many different kinds of medicine and each have their place. Laughter, sunshine, healthy boundaries, herbs, pharma- each a gift from Hashem.

🌿🧿

This is the energy I am bringing into my upcoming workshop- the second cohort of Preparing for the Postpartum: An Ancestral Hebrew Perspective. Its grounding to learn about how our ancestors honored this time, but its also important to talk about how we can practically bring that into our postpartums. How can we have healthy boundaries and assert them with well-meaning/overbearing family members? How can we allocate funds to pay for cleaning help AND traditional postpartum care?

🌿🧿

My intention isnt to tell you what to do, rather to share ideas so that you (your client, partner, loved one) can plan (as much as possible) for the peaceful, restful, restorative postpartum that you deserve. I was reminded by (go check out her offerings!) recently that when the postpartum woman/person is at the center, the baby thrives. You deserve to be at the center during this enormous life transition. An affirmation I still say to myself.

🌿🧿

If what I have said intrigues you-click the link in bio!! Sunday May 29 11am PST for 2 hrs. All who plan to give birth one day/support someone who will give birth welcome🙏🏼

some folks who offer support/healing traditions from different angles rooted in Judaism: feel free to add more in the comments🙏🏼

grateful to the One above and all around me for every sensation and every experience. Learning by first hand experience as I i heal from giving birth a second time. Healing is never comfortable, but so necessary, especially in this work that I do as a mother, a wife, and learning midwife.

It feels so sweet to be able to pick herbs from my garden to make gifts for my friends :)

Fresh ceremonial sage to be dried and burned for cleansing and purification of air and energy. Mexican marigold for its delicious scent, and purple medicinal sage flowers for their cool, fluffy looking petals. Dried lavender, chamomile, calendula and rose for a calming herbal bath.

Grateful for these plant friends, warm (relatively) CA weather, and for life itself!
