We can still obtain a beautiful white core tissue just by using a 22G cytology needle during EUS FNAC. Can you believe it ? 😀

ERCP is the standard procedure done to remove stones from CBD and since radiation cant be used in pregnant patients,we used a pre-procedure EUS to confirm the no. of stones and location and post procedure cholangioscopy to confirm complete clearance of CBD. Biliary cannulation was initially confirmed by aspiration of the golden yellow bile upon of insertion of the sphincterotome

A decent tissue core can even be obtained with regular EUS FNAC 19 G needle . Here we used the new EZ SHOT 3 needle to obtain this desirable core tissue from a pancreatic mass lesion

Hi all , Successfully did EUS choledochoduodenostomy after failed ERCP ( twice) for lower CBD tumor causing obstructive jaundice. He previously had resection and chemo for adenocarcinoma at DJ flexure . FCSEMS placed to achieve biliary draiange.. this is an effective alternative to PTBD with superior patient acceptability..
