If your fat loss journey feels messy right now, read this.
A bumpy week for many clients this week.
There must be something in the air! 😂
So here’s a little pep talk 💚
People expect fat loss to look like a straight line:
Start → work hard → results → done.
But in reality it’s more like:
Loops 🔁
Plateaus ⛰️
Frustration 😤
Little wins 🎉
Setbacks 😮💨
Then progress again 📈
And that’s not a flaw in the process.
That IS the process.
Zoom in on a single week and it can feel chaotic.
The scale spikes ⚖️
You miss a workout 🏋️
Meal prep falls apart 🍱
Life gets busy 🗓️
You feel like you’re failing 😞
But zoom out…
Over months and years progress usually trends upward, even if week-to-week feels messy.
One of the biggest mindset shifts I teach clients:
A setback isn’t failure.
It’s feedback. 📊
A client this week thought she was failing because her Sunday meal prep hadn’t happened.
But it wasn’t a “her” problem.
It was a systems problem ⚙️
So we adjusted the system.
Fail → Feedback → Knowledge → Power ⚡
Some weeks success looks like smashing workouts.
Other weeks success looks like:
Skipping the chips
Choosing the small milkshake
Ordering the slightly healthier takeaway
Small wins still move you forward 🌱
Fat loss is a journey.
Journeys have detours.
That doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It just means you’re on the road.
Zoom out 🔭
Keep moving 🚶
Learn the lesson 📚
The bumps in the road aren’t bugs.
