Today was a GREAT day! After what feels like forever, we have finally dropped off our first donations of our Farm to Child - Grow the Good Basil Kits to Oasis - A Haven for Woman and Children. We are SO excited for the children at Oasis to have these to kick off their summer program this week🥰.

Lots of LOVE went into these kits over the past year, including some amazing collaboration with soil and seedling expert who we can’t thank enough for her contributions! The activity book included was written with so much thought and detail geared towards children and caregivers alike. We truly hope it teaches them how growing your own food can be so fun and rewarding. The symbolic nature of patience, kindness and care will come organically🙏.

We will continue to post our journey and the next phase of our Grow the Good Kits - available for sale to the general public soon! We can’t wait💚

Meet Apple, the newest member of our family whose wings didn’t quite straighten out, but has taught the kids so much about being gentle and kind🧡 I really thought this butterfly was a goner finding it flat on the ground, but the kids insisted on giving it flowers while I thought what a huge disappointment this will turn out to be. Go figure, the kids came screaming to tell me it stood up and started crawling all over!! They were so thrilled and told me they knew something magical would happen. Now it just happens to love walking all over them while they ooo and ahhh over how cute Apple is🥰🦋

We’ve got our first wiggly tooth and a great request for the fairy....
Daughter: “Why does the fairy only give gold coins? Why can’t we get what we want?”
Me: “what do you want?”
Daughter: “tomatoes from Stokes Farm. I love those”
😂🥰 That’s def a request I think we can make happen! I have no idea what magic you put in those tomatoes, but this certainly proved you have a fan for life😂

As my daughter snuck into the fridge and hid these behind her back asking, “you know what vegetable I want to eat?” I knew she had the cherry tomatoes from our delivery today😂 As she took them to the table, she told her little brother “they’re from stokes and they taste like ice cream!” 💚 I agree, kid. These tomatoes are da best!!!

Totally had to share this book by for all the parents and kiddos out there. The kids are absolutely loving it and laughing the entire time💖 Such a great book to teach kids, (& parents who aren’t familiar with the “new way”), addition and subtraction! She also has one for✖️and ➗!
Hey, we need some math savvy kiddos to help with all our gardening projects☺️👍🏻

Had a jam packed weekend in our backyard! The garden is growing and we couldn’t be more excited. We harvested some lettuce for salads, basil for some homemade vodka sauce and had some carrots *poolside*😉. A perfect summer day and we are so grateful for the little things these days.

If you would of asked me 5 years ago if I thought I would like gardening as much I as I do today I would of said you were crazy but it has truly been an evolving, humbly experience! I am ALWAYS so grateful for this amazing community that Liz and I have “stumbled” across and we look so forward to making many more connections!! Thank you for always inspiring us to do our part💗 @ Nutley, New Jersey

They 💖 seeing what’s growing🌱 Thanks to for the growing kit that has kept us busy and peaked their interest in gardening these last few months🙌🏻 They also have a newfound love for playing in dirt...thank you for that too....I think😂
