Leah Bevan Hypnotherapy

Leah Bevan Hypnotherapy www.hypnotherapyplymouth.com - Leah Bevan Hypnotherapy, Solution focused hypnotherapist and psychotherapist in Plymouth.

Solution focused Hypnotherapy is a safe, effective, and proven therapy, which is based on modern neuroscience. Hypnotherapy is different to the stage hypnosis we sometimes see on television, and is simply an induced state of relaxation, during which we have access to the subconscious mind. This allows us to work on habits and behaviours which can otherwise be difficult to change. It also allows us to enhance our performance - this is particularly effective in both the sports and business. Hypnotherapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions and to support many kinds of change: Stopping smoking, phobias, weight loss, OCD, depression (including post natal depression), panic attacks, anxiety, stress, confidence, fertility problems, irritable bowel syndrome, post traumatic stress syndrome, insomnia, anger and many more! Why not make an appointment for a *free* no obligation initial consultation, and even if you decide not to go ahead, you can take away a free hypnotherapy CD.

Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week and it's funny that the timing of this during the pandemic, is highlighting more the importance of mental wellbeing and supporting those who are struggling.

The theme for this year is kindness, which ties in nicely that we've seen a lot of kindness over the last few months of people reaching out to each other, helping and supporting, the community spirit. But we also need to be kind to ourselves.

My challenge to you this week is to find a way that you can show yourself some kindness this week. Listen to my video to see what I'm planning to do this week.

Many people are finding themselves feeling overwhelmed with modern-day life and, in particular, the current pandemic.

In this video, I share some insights into what causes overwhelm, how it affects our minds and what we can do to help reduce overwhelm.

Have you been celebrating VE day today?

I've been thinking about it a lot this past week and how we seem to be in parallels with the world wars. I thought it might be easier to record a quick video so here are my thoughts...

Do you love what I do? Have you enjoyed the articles and posts I’ve written? Have I helped you to overcome a challenge you’ve been facing?

Then I’d love your help!

As you may have seen, I’ve been nominated for the Positive Role Model (Disability) at The National Diversity Awards 2020!

After spending the majority of my life negotiating the world through the lens of Autism, ADHD and Irelen’s Syndrome, it’s an honour to have been nominated.

I’ve helped hundreds of people over the last 10 years and even though I’ve had my own struggles and challenges to overcome, seeing other people starting to notice positive changes in their lives makes it all worthwhile.

I shared this post last year, and I think that it’s even more relevant right now...

Often we feel guilty for needing help or for not coping as well as we should. Remember that needing others is part of being human, and you are just as worthy of your own kindness as others are...

In case you missed my news last week 🤩 I’ve been nominated for the Positive Role Model (Disability) at The National Diversity Awards 2020!

I have absolutely no idea who nominated me (thank you, if you’re a follower of my page!) but I’m absolutely delighted to have been nominated for this award.

It’s an honour to have been nominated after spending the majority of my life negotiating the world through the lens of Autism, ADHD and Irelen’s Syndrome, without realising their huge impact, until I was diagnosed last year, at the age of 43.

Helping hundreds of people over the last 10 years has been so rewarding. And even though I’ve had my own struggles and challenges to overcome, seeing other people starting to notice positive changes in their lives makes it all worthwhile.
