Symptoms are likely accompanied by mood swings, lack of a zest for life, feeling uninspired, having trouble sleeping, or not feeling alive and excited to live in the moment or in each day.
If body and mind are out of balance and weâre experiencing the effects of the choices we make~ the foods we put in our bodies, or the thoughts we think that can lead to anxiety, overwhelm, stress, a nagging and sometimes relentless inner critic, for example~ it becomes really challenging to discover our authentic selves, deeper meaning in our lives, or our soulâs divine purpose when we barely have the energy to get out of bed in the morning.
Wellness matters because nurturing each aspect of our wellbeing is a springboard to our personal growth and happiness. And at the end of the day, when weâre feeling radiant; when weâre growing, evolving, and feeling content, thatâs what we give to the world. So, how do you get there?
Awareness⌠then conscious choice. Itâs not a fad. Itâs a way of being.
Our bodies can become addicted to bad food, yet oftentimes we donât even know what bad food is. We can also become addicted to negative thoughts, toxic emotions, and toxic relationships. Still, we donât know how to get out of our self-imposed âfeedback loopsâ, our inner critic, circling the wires in our brains that send messages back to our bodies. We can become addicted to a stressful, chaotic lifestyle, too, feeling as though there is no way out. And we can hold our beliefs and habits from deep within assuming making a change isnât even possible.; that who we are, how we behave, and the choices we make are a part of us and our personalities.
This leads to feeling really stuck, unhappy, and likely unhealthy.
The beautiful part of being human is that we are conscious and aware. That our brains have this attribute called plasticity, meaning we can change and grow and become. What we eat, think, and believe matters. And we can always make different choices, slowly changing the way we think, the way we eat, and the way we behave in order to get down to feeling inspired and passionate about our lives.
Wellness absolutely begins with a whole-food, âcleanâ diet that encourages optimal functioning and healing at the cellular level. So much so that we can shift how our genes express themselves. And this leads to improved health and wellbeing. Our bodies deserve good energy from good food. But thoughts, feelings, and beliefs are energy, too, remember.
And it is here where my passion was born: Teaching clients to reconnect with their bodies & rediscover themselves; to feel motivated, inspired, and excited about making better choices and to make them permanent habits and health behaviors. And, of course, to pay attention to the mind~soul work that becomes necessary to create wellness or heal the body.
It matters most to me that anyone struggling with their health and wellbeing can learn strategies to get excited about a new way of being in their bodies and in the world, and breakthrough to an incredible and inspired life.
This is mind work, rewiring your brain work, connected to your body work⌠is belied by the energy of our bodies and our deepest beliefs. We know when weâre ready to make a change. Not a New Yearâs Eve resolution kind of change, but instead one that sticks.
I teach my clients how to Master the Mindset of Wellness and restore balance in the body, mind, and soul. Itâs about getting into the right mindset, first and foremost. Taking action in the choices we make with food, thoughts, and beliefs become paramount in the process. The right tools and information matter when it comes to creating change and seeing, feeling the results. But itâs also about non-action, too, with a practice to connect to something bigger through mindfulness and meditation. Getting unstuck matters. Healing matters. Achieving wellness, youâll discover, creates many positive shifts and helps to create a happy, prosperous life.
