It was a hot day inside the Dental Unit, but every smile we saw made it completely worthwhile.

During our collaboration with Pastors Mendoza at Bautista El Puente Fundamental Independiente in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, we were able to serve 45 patients of all ages who received cleanings, extractions, and fillings.

The heat inside the unit was intense and greatly felt by the dental team. After hearing how warm it could get inside the trailer, our host reached out to his contacts, and someone generously donated an air-conditioning unit to be installed in the dental trailer. This blessing will help keep the unit cool for our upcoming clinics in Mexicali and the surrounding valley. Praise the Lord!

We also held a spay/neuter clinic to begin training new volunteers who will serve in future clinics throughout this region of Mexico. New volunteers are essential to our mission, but they require significant training to ensure successful and efficient clinics.

As we close this season before the intense summer heat arrives in Sonora and Baja California, we are amazed at how God continues to renew and anoint this ministry. This encouragement motivates and sustains the momentum of everyone involved in our clinics.

To all those who have generously contributed financially, we are deeply grateful. We may never meet some of you personally, but your impact is clearly seen throughout our mission.

Supplies are also vital for every successful clinic. God continues to provide, and we are thankful for every person who has donated supplies or given financially to help us purchase what is needed. You are amazing!

God is our provider of our needs physical, emotional and spiritually. It’s rooted in His faithfulness and often acting as, “Jehova—Jireh” the Lord Who Provides.

Fue un día caluroso dentro de la Unidad Dental, pero cada sonrisa que vimos hizo que todo valiera completamente la pena.

Durante nuestra colaboración con los Pastores Mendoza en la Iglesia Bautista Fundamental Independiente "El Puente", en San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, pudimos atender a 45 pacientes de todas las edades, quienes recibieron limpiezas, extracciones y resinas.

El calor dentro de la unidad era intenso y el equipo dental lo sintió con gran intensidad. Tras enterarse de lo caluroso que podía ponerse el interior del remolque, nuestro anfitrión contactó a sus conocidos, y alguien donó generosamente una unidad de aire acondicionado para ser instalada en la unidad dental. Esta bendición ayudará a mantener fresca la unidad para nuestras próximas jornadas en Mexicali y el valle circundante. ¡Alabado sea el Señor!

También realizamos una jornada de esterilización y castración para comenzar a capacitar a nuevos voluntarios que servirán en futuras jornadas a lo largo de esta región de México. Los nuevos voluntarios son esenciales para nuestra misión, pero requieren una capacitación significativa para asegurar que las jornadas sean exitosas y eficientes.

Al cerrar esta temporada, antes de que llegue el intenso calor del verano a Sonora y Baja California, nos asombra ver cómo Dios continúa renovando y ungiendo este ministerio. Este aliento motiva y sostiene el impulso de todos los involucrados en nuestras jornadas.

A todos aquellos que han contribuido generosamente con recursos financieros, les estamos profundamente agradecidos. Es posible que nunca lleguemos a conocer a algunos de ustedes en persona, pero su impacto se hace claramente visible a lo largo de toda nuestra misión.

Our hearts are full of joy as we continue to make an impact in the communities we serve. This is only possible because of our generous partners and supporters who help us make a difference, without you, everything we do would be impossible.

At our most recent dental clinic in collaboration with CEDES-Missiones in March, we served the community of Ejido Emiliano Zapata, a small town in the Valle de San Luis, about an hour south of San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora. We provided care to 25 patients, offering services such as extractions, fillings, and cleanings. Some patients required additional treatment off-site, as their needs could only be addressed at dental practice.

We strive to provide the most essential care within our reach. Our Mobile Dental Unit (MDU) can serve between 25 and 60 patients per day, depending on the number of dentists and assistants available. Each clinic also relies on a large team of volunteers working behind the scenes. It takes about 8–10 volunteers to prepare the MDU for each clinic, helping transport supplies across the border, cleaning the unit before and after each visit, managing inventory, setting up equipment, and moving the MDU from one location to another.

This is why the behind-the-scenes work, often unseen, is so critical. We are deeply grateful to every person who joins us in this mission. Everyone brings unique talents, and together, those contributions make our work even more meaningful. Making a difference in the lives of others is what drives our dedication to serve God.

Nuestros corazones rebosan de alegría al continuar generando un impacto en las comunidades a las que servimos. Esto solo es posible gracias a nuestros generosos socios y colaboradores, quienes nos ayudan a marcar la diferencia; sin ustedes, todo lo que hacemos sería imposible.

En nuestra clínica dental más reciente con colaboración con CEDES-Misiones en Marzo, servimos a la comunidad del Ejido Emiliano Zapata, un pequeño poblado situado en el Valle de San Luis, a aproximadamente una hora al sur de San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora. Brindamos atención a 25 pacientes, ofreciendo servicios tales como extracciones, resinas y limpiezas. Algunos pacientes requirieron tratamiento adicional fuera del lugar, ya que sus necesidades solo podían ser atendidas en un consultorio dental convencional.

Nos esforzamos por proporcionar la atención más esencial que está a nuestro alcance. Nuestra Unidad Dental Móvil (UDM) tiene la capacidad de atender entre 25 y 60 pacientes por día, dependiendo del número de dentistas y asistentes disponibles. Asimismo, cada jornada clínica cuenta con el apoyo de un gran equipo de voluntarios que trabajan tras bastidores. Es por ello que el trabajo tras bastidores —a menudo invisible— resulta tan crucial. Estamos profundamente agradecidos con cada persona que se une a nosotros en esta misión. Cada individuo aporta talentos únicos y, en conjunto, esas contribuciones hacen que nuestra labor sea aún más significativa. A trip full of challenges, but absolutely worth the excitement! As we place our hope in God, He continues to amaze me with His wonders and miracles.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." —Romans 15:13 (NIV)

Our first team arrived a week before the rest of the group got to Cuernavaca. This gave us time to prepare and ensure everything was ready. It’s always a challenge, and all the manpower that goes into getting things set up can be both fun and stressful. Prayer and your generous contributions make the process so much smoother. Seeing God’s hand in everything we do to serve Him and others is incredible. Learning to trust Him becomes especially visible when others are watching.

The mission home is coming along. We finished one of the roof shade structures, so our volunteers now have a place to enjoy shade while doing devotions, fellowshipping, or simply taking in the view. Huge thanks to Gregorio, whose welding skills were invaluable. It was stressful since we didn’t have much help from the local workers, but we are so grateful for Juan, our neighbor across the street, who came at the last minute. Bringing the roof metal sheets to the top was challenging, but with his help, the job was completed.

We also began forming a second group of local volunteers to assist the next CVM USA team joining us this summer. A lot of planning has been underway since November 2025, knowing that a second group is essential to our continued work in the region. We are super excited! Behind the scenes, there is so much preparation, and many of you are involved, which makes it even more meaningful. Others may only see the final results, and that excitement is just as real!

We conducted a soft spay/neuter clinic with three local doctors and two veterinary students, and they did an amazing job! Eleven surgeries were completed, providing valuable training for the local doctors and students. This work was a blessing to the community in Tlaltenango. Raúl, another neighbor, helped us locate a building and bring the animal owners together.

Our CVM CANADA team managed to complete 112 surgeries, with invaluable support from Carla and Jorge’s team. As always, they continue to do an incredible job hosting the doctors and students. Two new local students joined, working closely with the university, gaining hands-on experience with an international program. Being able to train and sharpen their skills makes our work even more rewarding. Witnessing the legacy that experienced doctors bring ensures that we can continue welcoming teams year after year.

The total fundraising for Carla and Jorge reached 12,800 pesos (approximately $785 USD), of which we graciously received 1,280 pesos ($78.50 USD). This amount was given to the two local students to use for anything related to their education. While it may not seem like much, for a veterinary student it goes a long way. Thank you for making this possible!

Part of our team prepared 100 tortas to distribute to patients waiting for medical treatment at the local hospital. Being the hands and feet of Jesus created a meaningful, teachable moment for the entire team. We are especially thankful to Raúl, who helped us distribute the tortas.

Our last day was impacted by activities conducted by the Mexican government, but we managed to get the entire team to the airport without incident. Everyone left Sunday night and made it home safely and on time. Working closely with the locals was key in ensuring everyone’s safe departure. Our network of volunteers played a crucial role in this effort. Missionary work can be risky, but it is incredibly rewarding when we understand that God is in control of everything.

Un viaje lleno de desafíos, ¡pero que valió la pena de la emoción! Al depositar nuestra esperanza en Dios, Él continúa asombrándome con sus maravillas y milagros.

Nuestro primer equipo llegó una semana antes que el resto a Cuernavaca. Esto nos dio tiempo para prepararnos y asegurarnos de que todo estuviera listo. Siempre es un desafío, y todo el esfuerzo que implica organizar todo puede ser divertido y estresante a la vez. La oración y sus generosas contribuciones hacen que el proceso sea mucho más sencillo. Ver la mano de Dios en todo lo que hacemos para servirle a Él y a los demás es increíble. Aprender a confiar en Él se hace especialmente visible cuando otros nos observan.

La casa misionera está avanzando. Terminamos una de las estructuras de sombra para el techo, así que nuestros voluntarios ahora tienen un lugar para disfrutar de la sombra mientras hacen devocionales, conviven o simplemente disfrutan del paisaje. Muchísimas gracias a Gregorio, cuyas habilidades de soldadura fueron invaluables. Fue estresante porque no tuvimos mucha ayuda de los trabajadores locales, pero estamos muy agradecidos con Juan, nuestro vecino de enfrente, quien vino a última hora. Subir las láminas metálicas para el techo fue un reto, pero con su ayuda, el trabajo se completó.

También comenzamos a formar un segundo grupo de voluntarios locales para ayudar al próximo equipo de CVM USA que se unirá a nosotros este verano. Hemos estado planificando mucho desde Noviembre de 2025, sabiendo que un segundo grupo es esencial para continuar nuestro trabajo en la región. ¡Estamos súper emocionados! Tras bambalinas, hay mucha preparación, y muchos de ustedes participan, lo que lo hace aún más significativo. Otros quizás solo vean los resultados finales, ¡y esa emoción es igual de real! Realizamos una clínica de esterilización suave con tres médicos locales y dos estudiantes de veterinaria, ¡e hicieron un trabajo increíble!

Se realizaron once cirugías, lo que proporcionó una valiosa capacitación para los médicos y estudiantes locales. Este trabajo fue una bendición para la comunidad de Tlaltenango. Raúl, otro vecino, nos ayudó a encontrar un edificio y a reunir a los dueños de los animales.

Nuestro equipo de CVM CANADÁ logró realizar 112 cirugías, con el invaluable apoyo del equipo de Carla y Jorge. Nuestro último día se vio afectado por las actividades del gobierno mexicano, pero logramos que todo el equipo llegara al aeropuerto sin incidentes. Todos partieron el domingo por la noche y llegaron a casa sanos y salvos. La estrecha colaboración con la población local fue clave para garantizar la salida segura de todos. Nuestra red de voluntarios jugó un papel crucial en este esfuerzo. El trabajo misionero puede ser arriesgado, pero es increíblemente gratificante cuando entendemos que Dios tiene el control de todo.

December was a full and driven month as we finished the year strong. With multiple activities taking place, we were able to close the year with another veterinary clinic in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.

On December 13, we partnered with Hablando por Ellos. Reyna coordinated the event at her local church, Iglesia del Redentor, which graciously allowed us to use their facilities to set up the clinic. We successfully completed 35 surgeries. It was a small team with new volunteers who were eager to serve. Serving is a crucial part of our clinics. Serving others is what we are called to do.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Diciembre fue un mes intenso y lleno de actividad, con el que cerramos el año con broche de oro. Gracias a las diversas actividades realizadas, pudimos finalizar el año con otra clínica veterinaria en San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.

El 13 de diciembre, colaboramos con Hablando por Ellos. Reyna coordinó el evento en su iglesia local, la Iglesia del Redentor, que amablemente nos permitió usar sus instalaciones para instalar la clínica. Realizamos con éxito 35 cirugías. Contamos con un pequeño equipo de nuevos voluntarios que estaban ansiosos por servir. El servicio es una parte fundamental de nuestras clínicas. Servir a los demás es nuestra vocación.

We’ve been BUSY! The months have gone by so fast that we haven’t had much time to post about all the clinics we’ve held in Mexico.

During our trip to Cuernavaca in November 2025, we partnered with Ferias de Adopción and Patitas de Amor Jojutla. Both organizations played a crucial role in the communities we are currently serving in the State of Morelos.

On November 16, we traveled to Ocuitulco, Morelos, a small community near the state of Puebla. With Carla and her team, 53 surgeries were successfully completed.

On November 23, we were in Tequesquitengo, Morelos, a beautiful tourist destination in the south of the state, located beside a lake. Working with Patricia and Fátima, we were able to complete 35 surgeries.

We are grateful for all the volunteers who made these clinics a success. In addition, through your prayers and generous contributions, all of this is made possible. There are many key elements involved in making each clinic successful. The local doctors who provide follow-up care and help with emergencies after we leave play a crucial role in finishing strong.

First Corinthians 12 speaks about the different gifts the Holy Spirit gives us to carry out the work God has assigned us. Without these gifts, many of the veterinary clinics we conduct would be very difficult to accomplish. Without wisdom and knowledge, each surgery could become complicated. Without faith, it would be impossible to take steps to hold a clinic in the middle of nowhere. With this in mind, we are grateful for everything God continues to do in our lives and in the lives of those in need.

¡Hemos estado muy ocupados! Los meses han pasado tan rápido que no hemos tenido mucho tiempo para publicar sobre todas las clínicas que hemos realizado en México.

Durante nuestro viaje a Cuernavaca en noviembre de 2025, colaboramos con Ferias de Adopción y Patitas de Amor Jojutla. Ambas organizaciones desempeñaron un papel crucial en las comunidades a las que actualmente brindamos servicio en el estado de Morelos.

El 16 de noviembre viajamos a Ocuitulco, Morelos, una pequeña comunidad cerca del estado de Puebla. Con Carla y su equipo, se realizaron con éxito 53 cirugías.

El 23 de noviembre estuvimos en Tequesquitengo, Morelos, un hermoso destino turístico al sur del estado, ubicado junto a un lago. Trabajando con Patricia, Fátima y Alora logramos realizar 35 cirugías.

Estamos agradecidos por todos los voluntarios que hicieron posible el éxito de estas clínicas. Además, gracias a sus oraciones y generosas contribuciones, todo esto se ha hecho realidad. Hay muchos elementos clave para el éxito de cada clínica. Los veterinarios locales que brindan atención de seguimiento y ayudan con las emergencias después de nuestra partida desempeñan un papel crucial para culminar con éxito.

Primera de Corintios 12 habla sobre los diferentes dones que el Espíritu Santo nos otorga para llevar a cabo la obra que Dios nos ha encomendado. Sin estos dones, muchas de las clínicas veterinarias que realizamos serían muy difíciles de llevar a cabo. Sin sabiduría y conocimiento, cada cirugía podría complicarse. Sin fe, sería imposible organizar una clínica en medio de la nada. Con esto en mente, estamos agradecidos por todo lo que Dios sigue haciendo en nuestras vidas y en la vida de quienes lo necesitan.

We have partnered with Iglesia Bautista Rosa de Saron in Ejido Quintana Roo, Baja California and CERT International over the past week. Our Mobile Dental Unit (MDU) was able to serve 125+ patients with cleanings, fillings and extractions. Our work included in Ejido Puebla (Iglesia Bautista Getsemani), Ejido Nuevo León (Iglesia Bautista Rey de Gloria), Bonfil (Iglesia Cristo Vive) and Ejido Quintana Roo (Iglesia Bautista Rosa de Saron), within the Valley of Mexicali, Baja California. Our dedication to serve in anyway possible brings joy to our hearts. Because of all the work and fundraising this is a possibility to end and start the year with giving what God has given us. We’re grateful of you, because without you this would be impossible to do! THANK YOU!

A Joyful Return to Sonora

March 14, 2020, marked our last dental clinic in the state of Sonora and its surrounding region. At the time, we had no idea what challenges lay ahead. The pandemic brought everything to a pause, leaving us in a cloud of uncertainty about what the future would hold. On top of that, the region was experiencing violent conflict due to cartel activity, making it unsafe to return.
But today, my heart is full of joy and gratitude!
After much prayer, planning, and preparation, the doors to our dental clinics in Sonora have finally reopened. With faith in God’s perfect timing, we said YES, and on Saturday, we held our first clinic since the shutdown, and it was a beautiful success.

We were blessed to partner with three generous dentists and six dedicated dental students from the University of Durango in Mexicali. We are also deeply grateful to our host church, Iglesia Bautista Rosa de Saron in Ejido Quintana Roo, Baja and their amazing team, who welcomed us with open arms and servant hearts.

In total, 39 patients received full dental care, including cleaning, fillings, and extractions. Many others were also able to see a gynecologist, and several benefited from chiropractic care. It was an honor to be part of this health outreach hosted by the local church to bless and serve their community.

It takes a dozen volunteers, critical supplies, and generous funding—to make these clinics possible. And because of YOU—your prayers, your donations, your time, and your unwavering support—we were able to bring healing and hope back to Sonora and its surroundings.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. You made this possible! You were God’s hands and feet in a region that so desperately needed to see and feel His love in action.

We look forward with hope and excitement for what God has in store as we continue this mission together. Let’s keep pressing forward in faith.

Un Regreso Alegre a Sonora

El 14 de marzo de 2020, nuestra clínica dental abrió por última vez en el estado de Sonora y sus alrededores. En ese momento, desconocíamos los desafíos que nos aguardaban. La pandemia lo paralizó todo, sumidos en la incertidumbre sobre el futuro. Además, la región atravesaba un conflicto violento debido a la actividad de los cárteles, lo que hacía inseguro el regreso.

¡Pero hoy, mi corazón está lleno de alegría y gratitud!

Después de mucha oración, planificación y preparación, nuestras clínicas dentales en Sonora finalmente reabrieron. Con fe en el tiempo perfecto de Dios, dijimos que sí, y el sábado tuvimos nuestra primera clínica desde el cierre, y fue todo un éxito.

Tuvimos la bendición de colaborar con tres generosos dentistas y seis dedicados estudiantes de odontología de la Universidad de Durango en Mexicali. También estamos profundamente agradecidos con nuestra iglesia anfitriona, la Iglesia Bautista Rosa de Sarón en el Ejido Quintana Roo, Baja, su increíble equipo, quienes nos recibieron con los brazos abiertos y un corazón servicial.

En total, 39 pacientes recibieron atención dental completa, incluyendo limpiezas, resinas y extracciones. Muchos otros también pudieron consultar con un ginecólogo, y varios se beneficiaron de atención quiropráctica. Fue un honor formar parte de este programa de salud organizado por la iglesia local para bendecir y servir a su comunidad.

Se necesitan una docena de voluntarios, suministros esenciales y una generosa financiamiento para que estas clínicas sean posibles. Y gracias a USTEDES —sus oraciones, sus donaciones, su tiempo y su apoyo incondicional— pudimos devolver la sanación y la esperanza a Sonora y Baja California.

De corazón, gracias. Ustedes hicieron esto posible. Fueron las manos y los pies de Dios en una región que necesitaba desesperadamente ver y sentir su amor en acción.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out whether through financial support, supplies, or by keeping us in your prayers. We are so deeply grateful. It’s been an incredibly busy busy busy month as we prepare for our upcoming dental clinic this Saturday and continue planning for our veterinary clinic in December.

And that’s not all, we’re also getting ready for our trip to Cuernavaca to start preparations for our annual February veterinary clinic, plus the additional clinics we’ll be holding this November in the state of Morelos. Exciting news, right? None of this would be possible without YOU. Your ongoing support and prayers have made, and will continue to make, a powerful impact on the lives of people across the border.

Marco is new to the team, new to everything we do but always ready to grab a shovel and get his hands dirty! Abdiel, many of you already know him! Abdiel and his family have always had a heart to serve, no matter the circumstances. Rosa has been a blessing from day one in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora. We met her and her family 15 years ago, and to this day, she’s always ready to lend a hand, even if it’s just to help clean up! And of course, my mother Maria is our biggest supporter in everything we do. She’s always ready to buckle up and ride with us to the next destination. A true soldier for the mission, if we can say so.

We are truly thankful for each of them and their constant help in this work. Without their willing hearts and hands, it would be difficult to carry out all that we do for the glory of the Lord both in Sonora and in Morelos.

Gracias a todos los que nos han ayudado, ya sea con apoyo financiero, suministros o manteniéndonos presentes en sus oraciones. Estamos profundamente agradecidos. Ha sido un mes increíblemente ajetreado, mientras nos preparamos para nuestra próxima clínica dental este sábado y seguimos planeando nuestra clínica veterinaria en Diciembre.

Y eso no es todo, también nos estamos preparando para nuestro viaje a Cuernavaca para comenzar los preparativos de nuestra clínica veterinaria anual de Febrero, además de las clínicas adicionales que realizaremos este Noviembre en el Estado de Morelos. ¡Qué buenas noticias, verdad? Nada de esto sería posible sin USTEDES. Su continuo apoyo y oraciones han tenido, y seguirán teniendo, un gran impacto en la vida de las personas al otro lado de la frontera.

Abdiel y su familia siempre han tenido un corazón dispuesto a servir, sin importar las circunstancias. Rosa ha sido una bendición desde el primer día en San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora. La conocimos a ella y a su familia hace 15 años, y hasta el día de hoy, siempre está dispuesta a echar una mano, ¡aunque sea solo para ayudar a limpiar! Y, por supuesto, mi madre, María, es nuestro mayor apoyo en todo lo que hacemos. Siempre está lista para abrocharse el cinturón y acompañarnos hasta el siguiente destino. Un verdadero soldado de la misión, por así decirlo.

Estamos verdaderamente agradecidos con cada uno de ellos y su constante ayuda en esta labor. Sin su corazón y sus manos dispuestas, sería difícil llevar a cabo todo lo que hacemos para la gloria del Señor, tanto en Sonora como en Morelos.
