CAIEHP stands for Certified Advanced Integrative Healing Practitioner.

This certification represents a specialized approach to energy healing, distinct from other modalities due to its focus on the biofield and its integration with modern approaches to trauma treatment.

Here's what makes the CAIEHP approach stand out:
*Integration with contemporary approaches to trauma treatment:
CAIEHP practices are informed by research in affective and interpersonal neurobiology and attachment theory, making them relevant to addressing trauma based in the body.

*Emphasis on the biofield: CAIEHPs are trained to work with the biofield, which is the energetic field surrounding and interpenetrating the body, according to CAIEHP.

*Interweaving of somatic inquiry, awareness dialogue, and re-patterning of the biofield: This holistic approach recognizes the connection between body sensations, mental states, and energy patterns, using dialogue and energy work to facilitate change.

*Focus on client readiness and emerging consciousness: CAIEHPs are trained to work with clients at their individual pace, respecting their capacity for change and exploring new levels of awareness.

To become a Certified Advanced Integrative Energy Healing Practitioner, individuals typically complete a comprehensive training program. One such program, offered at Langara College in Vancouver, B.C., is a two-year, 700-hour program that includes extensive supervised clinical practice and case studies. 2021.

What CAIEHPs do
Provide Advanced Integrative Energy Healing sessions: These sessions involve working with the client's energy field (biofield) to address imbalances and promote healing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

Create a safe and supportive environment: CAIEHPs are trained to be sensitive to the client's needs and maintain a safe and comfortable space for healing.

Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals: AIEH work is intended to complement traditional medical and psychological therapies.

Offer guidance and resources for self-care: CAIEHPs equip clients with self-care practices to help maintain the positive effects of the sessions.

Address a wide range of health issues: AIEH may be used to support individuals with stress, anxiety, pain, grief, trauma, and other physical and emotional challenges.

Note: While some energy healing modalities are less regulated, the CAIEHP certification represents a structured training and a specific approach to integrative energy healing. It is important to remember that energy healing is a complementary therapy and should not be considered a substitute for conventional medical care.

For 27 years, (Advanced) Integrative Energy Healing™ practitioners have offered volunteer wellness support at Pacifica Treatment Centre. What began through Langara College’s Integrative Energy Healing program in 1998 continues today through alumni-led clinics.

Healing isn’t always loud — it’s quiet presence, consistent care, and the body’s own wisdom rising over time.

February 1st to 7th is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Advanced Integrative Energy Healing™ (AIEH) has been supporting clients with eating disorders since 2012.

AIEH graduates served in an apprenticeship, or Internship in the 2nd year of their trauma training. It was the first time energy healing was used consecutively with the eating disorders recovery community. The eating disorder program referred their clients to the AIEH clinicals where seven sessions over nine weeks were offered to each client.

One of the AIEH graduates, and faculty of the former Langara College program, Mara Hagglund led a project evaluation compiling the information gathered from two AIEH clinical settings (Fall, 2012 and Spring, 2013) where she tracked themes and patterns from one hundred and thirty-one AIEH session documents. In December 2020, ten graduates of the Advanced Integrative Energy Healing program at Langara College completed a "Disruptions in Healthcare" internship in partnership with BC Compassion Club, now known as Compassion Roots Wellness Centre. The Compassion Roots team comprises dedicated professionals from various disciplines, including mental health therapists, holistic nutritionists, and more, all united by a common goal—to empower individuals to lead healthier, more balanced lives.
