Iāve been sitting on this for a few days because it feels both wildly exciting and weirdly vulnerable to say out loud.
Iām applying for the 2026 DICKāS Varsity Team. š„¹āØ
And before you scroll past because youāre like ācool, love that for you,ā I want to tell you why this matters to me.
My running journey didnāt start with confidence. It started in a season where I needed something that was MINE. Something that made me feel like me again. It was me squeezing movement into the tiny cracks of real life and slowly realizing⦠those tiny cracks can change everything.
Somewhere along the way, running became more than running. It became proof that I can keep promises to myself. Proof that I can do hard things without waiting for perfect conditions. Proof that I can be a mom and a working human and still choose myself in small, consistent ways.
And then you started messaging me things that honestly gets me emotional every time š
āI started running because of you.ā
āI signed up for a 5K.ā
āI went on my first walk in years.ā
āI didnāt think I could, but I did.ā
I donāt take those lightly. EVER. Those messages mean more to me than pace, PRs, or any medal I could hang on a wall.
Thatās also why I want this opportunity.
If Iām selected, it helps me keep showing up and creating the kind of content that makes movement feel doable. It helps me tell better stories. It gives me more reach and more resources to keep building a community where people feel like, āWait⦠maybe I CAN do this too.ā
So hereās where Iām asking for your help:
If my content has ever nudged you toward running, walking, starting again, signing up, or simply believing youāre capable of consistency⦠would you be willing to submit a short testimonial for me? Literally 2ā5 sentences is perfect.
