Are you a man? A man who’s been wanting to do yoga but you
A. Think its only for women in yoga pants
B. Think you have to be flexible to do it
C. Would feel out of place and creepy in a hot yoga room full of bendy women doing weird poses and possibly chanting sanskrit and you missed sanskrit day in middle school
Or
D. Heard yoga is one of the hardest workouts ever but can’t see how standing on one foot while holding your leg behind your head could be hard?
If any of these apply to you, or you just want a good flow class, then you came to the right instagram post.
One thing I think most men are missing in their workouts and just daily routines, is yoga. Trust me. I used to be one of you. Preworkouts, eat 50g of protein and train hard and never miss leg day. I was a collegiate rugby player for Texas State and a lifelong athlete, but had no concept of body awareness. I discovered yoga in 2008, when my friend , founder of , took me to my first hot yoga class, it blew my mind my mental endurance and physical endurance shot through the roof. Its like I was on natural crack and had an endless supply of it. My performance on the field was improved 200% by knowing where every limb of my body was at all times and my workouts were better because I now had more control over my body and didn’t just pound the same old tire muscles, my body was able to distribute the payload better.
And maybe most importantly, my mind finally seemed to finally be at ease...
So I invite to come flow with me and my bros. One of the major tenets of yoga is non-judgement and non-competition. Maybe your job or life thrive off competition, but for just one hour, flow and struggle with your brothers and leave competition and judgement at the door.
