Feeding wildlife is illegal & a liability. Property, children, people and pets are put at risk. Knowingly allowing a bear to consume human related foods - intentional or non-intentional - is contributing to bad bear behavior & bad bear health.

Knowing that a bear is coming to dine on YOUR property makes everyone around you at risk for an encounter, a bear break-in (vehicle/garage/home), and/or repeat visits by a bear to try & find more!

"You turn your clocks back, deer get hit by your car." 🦌 🐻
As Daylight Saving Time ends on November 3rd, we get an extra hour of sleep, but for deer, it’s a different story.

🦌 The time change shifts your evening commute to the exact moment when deer are most active dusk. This is when deer-vehicle collisions spike! (Regular vehicle accidents spike this week, too!)

🦌 It’s deer mating season! Male deer (bucks) are reckless and chase after females, often darting across roads without warning.

🦌 Deer are crepuscular meaning they’re most active at dawn and dusk, which is exactly when your commute overlaps with their busy time.

🦌 Every year, there are 1.5 million deer collisions in the U.S., causing 200 deaths, 26,000 injuries, and $10 billion in damage.

What YOU can do to avoid becoming part of the stats:
- Slow down between 5-7 PM in November, when deer are out in full force.
- If you spot one deer, brace yourself, deer travel in groups.
- Don’t swerve! Brake firmly and stay in your lane.
- Use your high beams in rural areas to spot reflective eyes sooner.
- No oncoming car, use your horn! Scare wildlife from the roadway.

🦌 🐻 Try not to wreck your car or see deer or bears become roadkill.
Slow down, drive smart, and let’s all make it safely.

PMC DRIVER REPORTS 4 BEARS
1 sow & 3 cubs in the middle of Mil Potrero Highway literally in both lanes by the MAILBOXES at TIROL. Three black cubs and one brown mama bear. They literally occupied the whole road. Lots of wandering - going back-and-forth. 🛑 7:00pm FRIDAY NIGHT 🐻 🐻 🐻 🐻
