he Name You Bear Is Also a Story
Sometimes we carry a life that isn't our own, and we don't even know it. We simply bear a name that came with a story. If you share a name with your father, your mother, a deceased sibling, or an ancestor, you may unknowingly be carrying the weight of their destiny.
A name is not just a sound. It's an energetic key that unlocks memories, loyalties, and ancient silences. When a family bestows a name, they also bestow a story, sometimes one that hasn't been healed. And so, a child may repeat the unfinished business of another, feel sadness they don't understand, experience emotions that aren't theirs, or walk paths they didn't choose.
That's why choosing a name isn't just any act. It's a sacred decision. It's offering a clean slate, a free destiny, a path that begins with love, not with hurt.
And if, upon hearing your name, you feel it weighs you down, that it hurts, that it compels you, that it repeats itself, perhaps the time has come to respectfully return what doesn't belong to you and begin to write your own story. Consciousness is the first act of liberation and inner permission, the first act of healing.
Healing phrase:
“I honour the name I was given and the story that accompanies it. What is not mine I leave with whomever it belongs, and from today I walk lightly toward my own destiny.”
