This summer, Club Boxing had the privilege of participating in a transformative Summer Leadership Retreat in Dallas, TX, that reaffirmed our mission both inside and outside the ring.

At Second Chance Boxing Club, our team engaged with youth boxers, offering mentorship and support while witnessing the profound impact that community engagement can have. We further developed our coaching and counterpunching skills through hands-on experience at Dallas Fight Club, gaining valuable insight into athlete preparation and ringside strategy.

The retreat also fostered a deep sense of camaraderie during our time at the Jesse “Bam Bam” Rodriguez vs. Cafu professional boxing event in Frisco, Texas, presented by Matchroom Boxing (Matchroom Boxing). Sharing that experience together reminded us of the unifying power of the sport.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the University of Michigan—Wolverine Boxing (University of Michigan Boxing Club) for organizing this impactful retreat. Above all else, thank you to our Coach Noe Mendoza, and his company, for sponsoring our flights, event tickets, and lodging.

We are hopeful this marks the beginning of a longstanding tradition in United States Intercollegiate Boxing Association history! ✌🏽 🥊

UTRGV made its way onto the flyer for the 2025 United States Intercollegiate Boxing Association National Championship 🥊

THE TIME IS HERE! Our 2025 USIBA National Tournament will be take place in Macon, Georgia, with plenty of attractions and activities to enjoy. Check-in on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and all athletes AND coaches must be checked-in before being allowed to participate. Competition is scheduled for March 27, 2025 through March 29, 2025.
