💜 Walking for My Mother, My Miracle. I’m walking for my mother, my warrior, my teacher, my heart.

A couple of years ago, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Since then, I’ve watched this disease slowly change our lives from small moments of forgetfulness to long nights filled with care, patience, and prayer.

Then this past July, she suffered a serious fall that shook our world. The days that followed were filled with hospital stays, sleepless nights, doctor visits, and endless hours with homecare staff. It was one of the hardest chapters we’ve ever faced. But my mother’s strength… it’s something sacred. She never gave up.

Through all the healing, love, and unwavering faith, she fought her way back. And now, even from her wheelchair, she’ll be right there beside me, rolling through this year’s Alzheimer’s Walk with the same grace and courage that has carried her through it all.

I’m beyond grateful for my children and my close friends who’ve stood by us through every moment helping, praying, 24 hours calls, standing beside me when I couldn’t stand anymore and showing up in ways that words can’t describe. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You know who you are.

Sometimes we take life for granted, but moments like these remind us every second matters, every breath counts, every heartbeat is a blessing in this short journey we share here.

So this walk is for her, for my mother’s courage, her laughter, her light.
It’s for every caregiver and family walking this same road.
And it’s for love that never forgets. 💜

Counting the days to end this summer and excited about it… way too many life changing events all at once. One cyclic(family) one needed (family)and one completely unable to process (unexplainable) and still asking the universe why the hell did you allow that energy in my damn space!! It has taken a week to even breathe again. Maybe it was a glimpse of what it “could be like” because she was the rarest person I have ever encountered. I’m private and never discuss this s**t but the biggest lesson from that female was something that is amazing peaceful and safe can also be the one that hurts you the most. Crossed off everything on my list except she was unhealed! Ughh !!
