Rebecca Willson, Registered Massage Therapist Registered Massage Therapist who is passionate about finding joy and balance in life, helping others Really, it is a lot like forest ecosystems and stewardship.

Helping people improve their wellness is something I take great pride in. I love to help people reduce pain and tension, and increase their functional mobility and enjoyment of life. I have called New Brunswick home since 2001 when I came from Victoria, British Columbia to complete my studies in Forest Management at UNB. It was a three year plan that quickly changed when I met the love of my life, Jon. Knowing I would not enjoy working in the woods here – cold, snow, bugs, humidity - I decided to enroll in Massage Therapy training at the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage in January 2004. The transition from Forester to Register Massage Therapist was easy for me. I love learning how the human body functions, how all parts of our system are connected, and how making changes to one part impacts the whole person. I like to empower people to become the best possible caretakers for the bodies they live in. Since completing my initial studies in Massage Therapy, I actively pursue opportunities to add skills, knowledge, and complementary modalities to increase the effectiveness of my treatments. Learning is a life long endeavor for me. I have advanced my knowledge in Myofascial Release Techniques, Osteopathic Techniques, Neurolymphatics, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, Assessment and Treatment of the Pelvis, Mental Health First Aid, Implement Assisted Release, Cranio-sacral Techniques and Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Levels 1 and 2 and cupping. I believe life is about finding joy in what you do. I love going on adventures with Jon and our dog Penny. Most times you will find us exploring rivers, lakes and forests. I also enjoy hiking, cooking, horses, photography and the company of family and friends.

Massage therapy is a safe and effective option to help people with cancer to manage potentially debilitating symptoms related to their treatment or to their illness itself.

Whether it’s finding relief from pain, reducing anxiety about treatment or improving overall quality of life, massage therapy is a great addition to the treatment plan of a person with cancer.
