Right team after your first HYROX (or even even you have done many!), here are 🔟 things that will happen (consider this your loving heads-up😘):
👉🏼 You’ll surprise yourself
At some point you’ll think, “I didn’t know I could do that.” And that thought will quietly change everything.
👉🏼 Your body will feel like it’s been hit by a truck…then a bus
But underneath the soreness is a weird sense of pride that you’ll never forget.
👉🏼 You’ll replay the race in your head on loop
Every single station. Every “I could’ve pushed harder” moment. Learn from it, don’t regret it.
👉🏼 You’ll gain instant respect for the sport
Watching HYROX and doing HYROX are two very different things. You now get it.
👉🏼 Your mindset will level up
Pain becomes information. Fatigue becomes negotiable. Limits suddenly feel flexible.
👉🏼 You’ll bond with complete strangers
Shared suffering = instant friendship…That’s just science. This race in Manchester it was meeting .fitness and in London it was meeting who I had actually met at the start line previously (it’s a sign 😜) You meet for minutes but it means SO much!
👉🏼 Your future training will be with purpose
No more random workouts. Everything now has a “race day” why behind it.
👉🏼 You’ll feel proud of showing up, not just finishing
Because getting to the start line already means you challenged yourself, pushed yourself outside your comfort zone and did something brave. YOU CAN, YOU WILL, YOU DID!
👉🏼 You’ll start thinking, “What if I trained for this part properly?”
And that question is dangerous…in the best way. Everything is a learning experience.
👉🏼 You’ll want more
Another race. A better time. A stronger version of you. The spark is lit 🔥 it’s a bug & you will catch it trust me!
First race (all race) nerves are real, but so is the confidence waiting on the other side.
Who’s entering the tunnel for the first time this year? 👀🔥
