Right team after your first HYROX (or even even you have done many!), here are 🔟 things that will happen (consider this your loving heads-up😘):

👉🏼 You’ll surprise yourself
At some point you’ll think, “I didn’t know I could do that.” And that thought will quietly change everything.

👉🏼 Your body will feel like it’s been hit by a truck…then a bus
But underneath the soreness is a weird sense of pride that you’ll never forget.

👉🏼 You’ll replay the race in your head on loop
Every single station. Every “I could’ve pushed harder” moment. Learn from it, don’t regret it.

👉🏼 You’ll gain instant respect for the sport
Watching HYROX and doing HYROX are two very different things. You now get it.

👉🏼 Your mindset will level up
Pain becomes information. Fatigue becomes negotiable. Limits suddenly feel flexible.

👉🏼 You’ll bond with complete strangers
Shared suffering = instant friendship…That’s just science. This race in Manchester it was meeting .fitness and in London it was meeting who I had actually met at the start line previously (it’s a sign 😜) You meet for minutes but it means SO much!

👉🏼 Your future training will be with purpose
No more random workouts. Everything now has a “race day” why behind it.

👉🏼 You’ll feel proud of showing up, not just finishing
Because getting to the start line already means you challenged yourself, pushed yourself outside your comfort zone and did something brave. YOU CAN, YOU WILL, YOU DID!

👉🏼 You’ll start thinking, “What if I trained for this part properly?”
And that question is dangerous…in the best way. Everything is a learning experience.

👉🏼 You’ll want more
Another race. A better time. A stronger version of you. The spark is lit 🔥 it’s a bug & you will catch it trust me!

First race (all race) nerves are real, but so is the confidence waiting on the other side.

Who’s entering the tunnel for the first time this year? 👀🔥

I DID IT!

Just smashed my fourth Solo HYROX - back to where it all started - Manchester was my first last year so to come back here today was special!

Electric doesn’t even come close.
Tough - 100%.
Proud is an understatement.

I showed up today, trusted the process, trusted the training, and even though I didn’t get a PB that’s totally ok. Not every race needs to be a PB and it’s so important to remember that. I had to dig SO deep this afternoon especially on the burpees - brutal! But you know what - I DID IT and guess what I WILL DO IT AGAIN!

No excuses, just discipline, showing up and hard work.

Still an awesome way to kick off my 2026 hybrid racing series
💪🏼⚡️

Big thanks to for inviting me

Full race breakdown coming tomorrow.

10 things I teach my clients about wellness outside of training
(from a women’s holistic personal trainer of over 10 years)

1️⃣ Training is only one piece of the puzzle…recovery is where the magic actually happens

2️⃣ Massage isn’t a luxury, it’s a tool for circulation, relaxation, and nervous system down-regulation

3️⃣ Foam rolling doesn’t need to be painful to be effective… it’s all about consistency > intensity

4️⃣ Massage guns are great for short bouts of relief to encourage blood flow and ease muscle tension

5️⃣ Hot salty baths help more than just sore muscles, they support relaxation, stress reduction, and sleep quality

6️⃣ Sleep is your most powerful recovery tool, not a “nice to have” so be sure to get the hours and the quality, supported by a good wind down routine.

7️⃣ Cross training keeps your body resilient, balanced, and mentally fresh

8️⃣ More training won’t fix under-fuelling. Nutrition supports hormones, energy, recovery, and strength

9️⃣ Your body adapts best when stress and recovery are in balance, not when you’re constantly “pushing through”

🔟 Wellness isn’t about doing everything perfectly, it’s about building sustainable habits that support your life
