The Raghunath Ayurved Mahavidyalaya & Hospital, is the only Non Govt. Ayurvedic college & Hospital in Purba Medinipur, situated in the heart of the City Contai (Kolkata Digha route) near Central Bus Stand. The Institute is about 150 km away from Kolkata & well connected with Bus & Train service (Kanthi Railway Station). It was Kaviraj Raghunath Maity, the famous freedom fighter and renowned physician of Ayurveda, established this College under the banner of Vaidyaka Pathshalan, in the month of November, 1949 under the supervision and management of Ayurved Sevak Sangha. in the year 2013 the college get permission from CCIM (Central Council of Indian Medicine) and affiliation from The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) to conduct BAMS Ayurvedacharya Course. College has adjoining Hospital where all types of exclusive Ayurvedic treatment including Panchakarma treatment is going on.

As part of the Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan, the 2nd Professional students prepared an awareness video on the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse. The video was displayed in the OPD to educate patients and visitors about leading a healthy and addiction-free life.

This initiative helped spread awareness among the public and supported the mission of creating a Nasha Mukta Bharat.
