Merry Christmas from our family to yours!! 🌲❤️
Kasai had 2 christmas’a this year and enjoyed them both! He got to spend time with his gigi,papa and uncle aiden on christmas eve and his meemaw, aunt bay,great grandparents and cousins today! Our boy is spoiled rotten,we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re beyond blessed to be home this year!

So i was wiping Kasai’s mouth off tonight cus he was drooling. And he started chomping on the rag and then my finger. (he doesn’t care to chew on binks) Well he was protecting my finger with his tongue from his front tooth…then he decided to move my finger to the one side of his mouth and BIT down SO hard. Come to find out this kid has molers coming in😭 My baby didn’t have no teeth and all of a sudden has 1 bottom tooth half way in,2 top molers & 1 bottom moler a quarter of the way in,the other bottom gum is swollen so i’m sure it’ll poke through soon,the second bottom peeking through,a top tooth making a hole to come through. And he will be TWO, 2 years old in 11 days🥹 My baby is getting so big 💔

For Kasai’s Birthday (1/1) this year we are asking for donations to help the Ronald Mcdonald House. We are set with things for Kasai and would like to help other families in need. We would like to give back to the place that gave so much to our family during one of the hardest times in our life. And still continue to help us when he’s hospitalized or has long appointments. Whether it’s donating pop tabs, toys, blankets, water, snacks or something for the workers who volunteer there time to make sure the family’s are taken care of. We made a wish list of a few things that we know they usually have or need. We’re hoping to take these things to them the end of January! Maybe on Kasai’s nicu discharge date (1/30) to make it rememberable. We hope to start a tradition to give back on his discharge date each year,anything and everything helps! Thank you in advance.

This is what it looks like when Kasai doesn’t wanna do belly time😂🤦🏻‍♀️ he’d rather do ANYTHING else. Flip him back over and he’s looking at me like i’m crazy for putting him on his belly but i’m just trying to keep him from getting sores 😭 Also will be sharing videos,they just won’t let me post videos and pictures at the same time 😔.

December 9th,Not to much of an update from today’s appointments. His MRI went well and his Neurosurgeon thought it looked good,so much that we don’t have to seem again for a year unless Kasai is presenting signs of his shunt not working. His Endocrinologist was also very pleased with how he’s doing and doesn’t wanna change his med unless he needs weight adjusted. We had very good appointments this week considering Kasai being sick. We’re very happy with how all of the doctors feel. And we made it back home safe! Kasais all comfy! Thank you all for the continued love,support and prayers.

December 8th,We came to columbus for some appointment today and we have more tomorrow. Today we met with ENT and National Seating and Mobility! ENT appointment was to look at Kasai’s ears and we found out he has mucusy/fluid built up in the ear drum. That means he will potentially be getting ear tubes. Kasai’s Bronchoscopy got rescheduled to february since he was sick. He will be getting his bronch,a bear test (sedated hearing test) and possibly tubes during that procedure. We also met with National Seating & Mobility today to look at options of a bigger stroller/wheelchair set up as well as a starter bath seat! With Kasai having so much extra equipment and still being so small they want to start him in a stroller base that will come with attachments for his equipment and they want to put a wheelchair seat on the stroller base. They chose the base itself for his specific equipment needs and the wheelchair base to help with better support for his back,head and trunk. Then we tried out a starter bath seat and will be getting that in blue!! However this was only appointment 1 to show us options,we have a second appointment in january which will confirm which equipment option we will be getting for sure and then we will receive that equipment in 2-3 months. This appointment was a step in th right direction and we are so excited to keep improving his equipment to help better fit his needs!! Now he’s all comfy and taking a good well needed nap! Tomorrow we meet with Neurosurgery after getting an MRI to check on his shunt,followed by our last appointment for the week with Endocrinology.
