here to tell you why we always go to ! We always leave with something!

Monique and I made lots of small talk at her job but then I told her why I came to the Fest. And she blew me away. She said I was only the second Black doctor she met in her entire life. And she told me that meeting me she knew that I had the to properly care for her as a Black woman because of our shared experiences. Our exchange keeps me focused on making sure by next Essence Fest, Black women in Louisiana can use our services. Thank you !

When we say we are for Black women, it means ALL of us. No matter who you love or who loves you. Not all of us with a uterus or female parts identify as women. We are also trans and non-binary and more. The system was definitely not made for you, so
we got you too!
