Friday June the 1st is day.

You've probably never heard of it. But it is something we all should get behind. is a movement designed to reduce the stigma surrounding our own mental health.

20% of doctors have been diagnosed with depression
25% of doctors have thought about su***de
1 in 50 have actually tried.

There is a huge stigma surrounding mental health. It is something I am very passionate about. I wrote about it on our blog.

I have also given talks to a number of audiences too, both at DFTB17 and at last years ANZCA conference.

It is time to normalize not stigmatize the conversation.

So on Friday the 1st, join me in wearing your funkiest, craziest socks and remember those that have gone before, and those that are suffering now and vow to do something about it.

And post your pictures up here so we can share the conversation.

I was one of those 1 in 50.
