Her cancer kept coming back.

Before my client came to me this year, she had already been through breast cancer once, then uterine cancer, and then, after all of that, her breast cancer returned.

Cancer can be a tricky beast in its evolution.
What’s often left out of the conversation is that if we don’t address the environment that cancer grows in, it can return—stronger, and in different forms.

Her lab panel showed sky-high levels of endocrine disruptors- plastics, phthalates, pesticides.
The same chemicals saturating our soil and water systems… the same ones we’ve normalized in our daily lives.

We can’t keep fighting cancer without addressing the environment it grows in — both inside and around us. We can’t address it with chemo alone.

My work is to help people find their way back into life—back into connection, vitality, and belonging.

I hear it so often:
“But I was healthy. How can this possibly be?”

Because a diagnosis can be such a surprise to most, you deserve a systematized approach to knowing how to love your body better and get better answers.

Now my client has a road map and within months we’ve seen her inflammation come down. I want everyone to have this kind of empowerment in their journey.

There’s a deep sense of betrayal that can often happen at the beginning of a c@ncer diagnosis. “How did this happen to me?”
This creates a big rift between how you relate to your body and disease whether as a foe to be fight against or a friend who’s trying it’s best to tell you that it needs help. While there are hundreds of books and online forums from people who have met their journeys with success, you are your own unique being and no two cancer journeys are alike.
Sometimes our care is too big to hold alone when what we really need is to rest and re-learn how to trust again.

Is because you are looking at your health like a copy paste from someone else’s cancer success story.

A big problem I see in the cancer industry is that you are looking at health like a life vest instead of building your own bridge.
And I get it because when it comes to health we want it to be as easy as following the next new book on cancer because someone said they healed their stage IV cancer with celery juice.

I’m Dr. Elise Sulser and I specialize in terrain and metabolic approach to cancer and when it comes to this disease it can feel scary and overwhelming and complex. And it is sometimes. The big miss I see with integrative cancer care is that most people are just following protocols that went viral from someone on the internet instead of learning what is driving the growth of their unique cancer type.
One of the most important steps to your cancer journey is knowing what your body is missing or what burdens it’s carrying. You probably need a custom blueprint to healing with someone who can take the time to put all the pieces of your terrain together.

That’s where I come in 🪷

When I track someone journey with labs over time we see a picture start to emerge: this picture points out what areas need TLC and attention as we work to fix the terrain so cancer can’t thrive. I celebrate so hard when I see markers start to normalize because I know that what we’re doing is working 😍 it’s always amazing to see results in real time and the looks on my clients faces when they know their hard work is paying off.

💔 This week I spoke with a prospective client whose story has stayed with me.
Two years of fighting. Three failed rounds of chemo. Radiation that left permanent, life-altering damage. Daily pain. And now… stage IV cancer. His family is desperately searching for answers.

It devastates me to hear stories like this. I can’t help but wonder—what if we had the chance to strengthen his terrain before that first round of chemo? What if his cancer pathways had been addressed before his body began to break down?

We may never know. But what I do know is that supporting the terrain—the soil in which cancer grows—can change the story. My deepest wish is for more people to see this as a first resort, not a last.

✨ Because the most precious thing we have is time.

When I say it is an honor to interview this woman I mean-blown away by the profundity of her journey. Rebecca Turlay, cancer thriver, therapist, Navy Veteran and alchemist shares some of what it has been like for her to get a diagnosis at age 31, to walk into the underworld of facing death and loss and to meet herself in the midst of it all. She shared with me the tenderness of loosing her hair and turning that into ceremony and ways she has found to reclaim empowerment while also defying odds when it comes to her cancer symptoms.
Please watch, whether you have cancer or not I promise you will gain some wisdom to live by.
