Even people who teach leadership get it wrong.

We gave our founder a random object and he has to turn it into a leadership metaphor.

He didn’t know what was coming.
We didn’t know if it would work.
But here we are.

Introducing our newest (and possibly weirdest) series:
Andrew Makes a Metaphor.
No prep. No script. Just one man, one object, and an unreasonable amount of confidence.

It’s strange. It’s insightful. It’s strangely insightful.
Episode one starts now.

‘Tis the season… for holiday habits that can leave us drained instead of delighted.

In true PRAX fashion, we’re taking a playful look at 5 classic “holiday downers”—those familiar behaviors we tend to excuse this time of year (looking at you, perfectionism and peppermint bark).

To bring them to life, we pulled scenes from some of our favorite Christmas movies. Because sometimes the best way to reflect… is to laugh.

Take a break, press play, and see if you recognize yourself in any of these.
(No judgment—we’ve all been there.)

This Christmas, choose presence over pressure.

This Thanksgiving, we’re reflecting on what makes gratitude so powerful—not just as a feeling, but as a skill that shapes how we live, lead, and connect.

It turns out, gratitude does more than boost morale. It builds character, strengthens relationships, and increases happiness from the inside out.

Here are five truths that challenge us to practice it daily.

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at PRAX.

What if your performance had less to do with talent—and more to do with who you’re around?

Here’s the truth:

Who you follow shapes how you lead.

And the standard you surround yourself with either raises your game or lets it slide.

So the real question is...
Are you the kind of person who makes others better?

At PRAX, we believe leadership starts from the inside out.

Let us show you how to raise your standard.

We’re excited to welcome our newest Pathfinder cohort.

Over the next 10 weeks, this group will focus on building habits that support both well-being and performance. Through consistent practice and values-driven work, they’ll be developing the skills to lead themselves with clarity, discipline, and purpose.

This journey is about more than improvement. It’s about alignment. It’s about taking ownership. And it’s about showing up differently in every role you hold.

To our newest Pathfinders, welcome. We’re glad you’re here.

Thank you to the UTA Executive MBA Program for the opportunity to be part of Exec Connect at the Fort Worth Club.

Our founder, Andrew Geesbreght, spoke on the power of values based self-leadership and why performance begins with personal alignment, not just motivation.

We are grateful for the chance to connect with so many leaders who are committed to growth that lasts.

At PRAX, we believe real change comes through choice, clarity, and consistent practice.

This week we’ve unpacked two truths about growth:

1. Soft skills aren’t the problem — it’s our approach to building them.

2. Real growth isn’t convenient — it takes time, feedback, and repetition.

Now, here’s the final piece:

3. One session won’t change you — because the brain doesn’t transform from exposure, but from experience.

These aren’t theories — they’re neuroscience.

We’d never expect to become better drivers after one lesson on the road.
Or develop fluency after one conversation in another language.
Or become great parents after reading one book on child psychology.

Yet when it comes to leadership and performance, that’s often exactly how we approach development. A single inspiring session, followed by business as usual.

The truth is, the brain doesn’t change because we heard something new.

It changes because we practiced it until it became who we are.

That’s what PRAX is built for — turning learning into lasting skill through deliberate, sustained practice.

We all want growth to be quick.

A single session.
A spark of inspiration.
A fast result.

But lasting skill doesn’t work that way.
It takes something far less convenient — and far more powerful.

🎥 Watch this short clip to see why convenience and change don’t coexist.
