Let me talk my stuff real quick. 😌
I am Dr. Stephanie Hall, DSW, LCSW, CCTP.
Master’s in Social Work. Doctorate in Clinical Social Work. Licenses across multiple states. Years in the trenches with our people, not watching from the sidelines but sitting in the chaos, the grief, the trauma, and the healing.
They can play with titles. They can change language. They can try to rewrite what is considered a “professional degree.” That does not change the fact that when this world is in crisis, they call social workers.
Who is in the psychiatric hospitals when systems fail.
Social workers.
Who is in schools when kids are depressed, hungry, and acting out.
Social workers.
Who is in the community centers, nursing homes, shelters, EAPs, courts, and policy tables fighting for folks who do not have a voice.
Social workers.
We are the backbone of the mental health system. We are the plug between policy and people. We are the reason vulnerable communities even have a chance at support. You cannot erase that with a memo or a regulation. You cannot outvote impact.
So let me be clear.
My degrees are earned.
My licenses are earned.
My expertise is earned.
And my impact speaks louder than any government decision ever will.
Social workers keep the work going.
We keep the world moving.
And regardless of what they try to rename, remove, or restrict, we will still be in the field, still holding the line, and still changing lives.
So to anyone trying to erase our seat at the table: don’t get it twisted. We built the damn table.
Put some respect on social work. 🖤✨
