I could never make as a drugy. If the professionals can't get a needle in my veins, what chance do I have? Lately it takes people 2-3 times ...

Thursday I had the quickest turnaround on bloodwork ever. Unfortunately, it was because it's not good news. I'm sure why, but my white blood...

Some people have asked about when I'm going back to work and when will I know if HSCT worked. There's not a straight forward answer so I did my best to describe the recovery process. I hope I explained it well enough as it's very nuanced. I also left out the part about how it will take several months for my blood counts to return to normal levels.

I made it to the Moscow airport. Once I arrived, I was surprised by how curteous and helpful the handicap pusher was to me. The airport is a complete dive but he wisked me though all kinds of lines and security. After weaving this way and that, he asked if I'm business class. Yes, yes I am. I'm not 100% sure but I think he put me in the Lufthansa lounge. There's all kinds of free food and drinks but I won't dare eat anything other than chips and bottled water.

Last breakfast at the hospital.

Things are certainly wrapping down for me in Moscow. This evening the doctor gave me all the test results and information related to my treatment along with the list of do's and don'ts. One of the most unique features of this doctor is his compassion and willingness to help you. He truly treats you like a family. I can't count the number of hugs I received while here. As part of his discharge package, he gives you his personal cell and email address and is willing to help you in any way he can, including coordinating with your hematologist at home. I can't think of any other international doctor that would do that for you.

Tomorrow I'll be flying home. Safe travels.

I sure miss those blood draws where they use the PICC line in the morning. No pain. Today it took them 2 tries with a needle. I guess that's what I have look forward to again.

Today it happened. My PICC line was removed and I'm resting. It was not nearly as tramatic as I thought it would be. All...

Today it happened. My PICC line was removed and I'm resting. It was not nearly as tramatic as I thought it would be. All injections are complete. Tomorrow I rest more and fly home the 13th.
