We want to send you a heartfelt thank you! ❤️

In the past day, so many of you took the time to report the fake page that was using our name and videos. Because of your support and quick action, Facebook has taken it down.

We are truly grateful—not only for your help, but for the care and protectiveness you show for our wonderful community. yes2next has always been about more than exercise. It’s about people looking out for one another, lifting each other up, and moving forward together.

Mom and I feel so fortunate to share this journey with you every day. Thank you for standing with us and for helping keep this space positive and encouraging for everyone.

With gratitude and love,💕
April, Aiko & Mochi 🐾

We’re excited to share this with you! ❤️

Mom and I were recently interviewed by Luciana and Pedro Bartes on The Sound of the Pacific Northwest radio show and podcast. We talked about how yes2next began during the 2020 shutdown, our joy creating workouts together, and how our wonderful community has grown to more than 600,000 YouTube subscribers.

We also shared a personal story about our connection to the Pacific Northwest, which made this conversation especially meaningful to us.

We invite you to come behind the scenes and hear our story.

❤️ We’re wearing red today in support of women’s heart health.

Taking care of your heart doesn’t have to be complicated — it can start with simple, consistent movement, a walk, a stretch, or a few minutes of exercise that makes you feel good. Those small choices add up over time.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for their health and for each other. If you’re wearing red today, we’d love to know or see it — tag us so we can cheer you on. ❤️

❤️ Taking care of your heart isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing what you can, consistently.

Whether you’re moving in a chair, walking around the house, or following one of our workouts, you’re choosing strength, energy, and independence with every session.

This month, we’re proud to support the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign by celebrating simple, sustainable movement — the kind that fits into real life and feels good in your body.

Your heart shows up for you every day.
Let’s return the favor. 💕

Tell us: did you move today — even just a little?

Strength training after 50 doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. 💪

If you’re navigating menopause or post-menopause, changes in energy, muscle tone, and joint comfort are common, but building strength is still absolutely possible.

The key? Training smarter, not harder.

And it starts with tempo. Moving with control to protect joints and build strength safely.

Retirement isn’t always the endless vacation we imagine—and that can come as a surprise.

In our newest podcast episode, I sit down with Dr. Riley Moynes to talk about the 4 phases of retirement and the emotional side of leaving work behind. We discuss why so many people feel a loss of identity, how trial and error is a normal part of this transition, and how purpose, health, and community play a powerful role in creating a fulfilling life after work.

If you’re retired, approaching retirement, or supporting someone who is, this conversation offers insight, reassurance, and perspective you may not hear often.

❄️ Snow day hustle out there! With this winter storm affecting many parts of the U.S., a lot of us are bundling up and grabbing our shovels. ☃️

Before you head outside (and after you finish!), remember that snow shoveling is real exercise — and your back, shoulders, and knees will thank you for a little prep. Be sure to warm up just like we do before any of our workouts (Here's a link to one of our quick warm ups: https://youtu.be/H7hMqK9khTs)

👉 After you come back in from the cold, try these simple after shoveling stretches to help you stay loose and reduce the risk of strain:

Take it slow and lift with care. A few minutes of stretching before and after shoveling can save you from aches later. Stay safe and stay warm out there! ❤️❄️

These shoveling stretches for beginners and seniors will help prevent injury after you have cleared mounds of snow from your sidewalks and driveway. The stre...

Embracing yes2next

Hi! I’m April.

I created yes2next to capture my own journey and my goal to help seniors live joyful, active, and inspired lives. At 56, I’m embracing my age and change, viewing this time as a new beginning. I choose to say “yes” to this next chapter and all that it brings.

Our society places a premium on youth, which makes aging a challenge. On top of that, after 30, we lose muscle, our bone density decreases, and our metabolism slows down. But staying active can keep our bodies and minds healthy.

I choose to live a natural life, embracing my gray hair and wrinkles. I have to work harder to stay fit now, but exercising gives me energy and strength. I view it as a vehicle to have a high quality, active life into my golden years.
