This lovely group of ladies took the Polar Plunge on Saturday and raised over $1500 for Special Olympics! It was a chilly afternoon but full of laughs and fun! We’d love for you to join us next year

Our medical school has raised over a thousand dollars for Special Olympics Minnesota, too! ☺️

The University of Minnesota Duluth has really shown up for Special Olympics Minnesota this year. ❤ Multiple UMD teams have raised thousands of dollars for Special Olympics athletes, and we can't wait to watch them Plunge into Lake Superior this weekend!

FMIG would like to invite you to a lunch lecture on Tuesday, February 23rd from 12-12:50 PM via Zoom. This presentation will focus on the diversity of communication. The presenter will be Lynette Carlson, MA, CCC-SLP, who serves as the Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Minnesota Duluth. We welcome you to join us to learn more about what makes an effective communicator, awareness of how our own culture/assumptions/biases influence language, communication and pragmatic skills, and what resources are available to medical teams.
