Maternal health matters 🤍

This carousel highlights how pharmacy misconceptions and medical stereotypes can impact pregnancy, breastfeeding, and postpartum care—especially for Black women, who continue to face major disparities in maternal health outcomes.

As future and current healthcare professionals, we have a responsibility to challenge misinformation, listen to patients, provide evidence-based counseling, and advocate for equitable care. Pharmacists play an important role in supporting safe medication use, recognizing warning signs, and helping patients feel informed throughout their maternal health journey.

Swipe to learn more about pharmacy misconceptions, Black maternal health, and ways pharmacists can support better care.

Passing the ribbon, passing the message ❤️

Each hand that holds it carries a story, a responsibility, and a commitment to educate, uplift, and protect our communities. The ribbon is more than a symbol it’s a reminder that awareness starts with us and continues through every voice we reach.

Together, we rise. Together, we remember. Together, we make an impact.

Our Combating Cancer and Project Keepsake Chairs hosted a trivia event where students could spin the wheel, answer questions about these various cancer types, and earn kidney-friendly snacks as prizes! Students learned various facts such as how kidney health is a vital part of reducing risk of developing kidney cancers, that screening for colorectal cancer should begin in adults of average risk at age 45, and how multiple myeloma also affects the kidneys.
