Great tip! No 2 bodies are alike. Match the angle of the dangle!
The Angle of the Dangle
There are so many photos and diagrams on the internet and in books that assume we all have lovely pert bo***es, but many of us don't!
If you have downward pointing ni***es you will need to have your baby lying slightly more on their back to ensure baby gets a deep latch.
If you have more forward pointing ni***es you will need to have baby lying more on their side to get a deep latch.
If your ni**le really points down and you're struggling to see it, you can lift the breast up a bit with either a rolled up muslin placed under the breast, or you can make a b**b sling by tying a muslin round your neck and under the breast. Then, line up the baby to suit the new angle of the dangle! Or you can rest the breast on your baby's chest and shape the breast a little to help.
Also, try different positions. Laid back position can be a game changer, or a rugby hold with baby coming from under the breast is particularly useful for lower hanging breasts.
