Take a gentle pause this Christmas Eve and return to yourself - with Belinda Hoult.

Yin Yoga is particularly beneficial during the holiday season, when life can feel busy and overwhelming. This slow, meditative practice encourages you to pause, move gently, and breathe deeply. By holding postures for longer periods, Yin Yoga supports relaxation, self-nurturing, and a deeper connection to your inner self.

Expect a warm, soothing atmosphere, gentle guidance, and space to settle deeply into your own inner calm. Leave feeling centered, nourished, and more connected to yourself as you enter the holiday season.

New and Updated Class Timetable for 2026 🙌

Our updated 2026 class timetable comes with just a few small changes to support a smoother, more balanced weekly schedule.

Ryoko Jones will now teach the Friday 9am class with an Ashtanga practice under our Align category.

We’re also adding a new 60-minute Flow class in Palmerston with Claire Townley, and our Saturday sessions will now be led by Nicole Biel, shifting from 75 minutes to a streamlined 60-minute format with Roll & Release starting at 10:15am.

These small adjustments help keep our timetable fresh, accessible, and well-paced for the year ahead 😊

Start the New Year Strong with Ryoko Jones 💪

The beginning of the year is when intentions are set, direction is clarified, and habits begin to form. Ashtanga Yoga supports this by giving students something steady to return to: internally and physically.

Experience a guided, breath-paced immersion through part of the Primary Series, offering a traditional approach to structure, rhythm, and flow. This session supports a stronger grasp of sequencing, transitions, and energetic awareness within Ashtanga practice.

Prior experience such as our Ashtanga Basic Workshop Part 1 is helpful but not required, and you're welcome to join even if you did not attend the introductory session. A general level of fitness is recommended, as the practice builds strength, steadiness, and heat.

Yoga Nidra is a powerful guided meditation practice also known as yogic sleep. It’s not actual sleep but a state between waking and dreaming where the body is deeply relaxed and the mind is highly receptive.

In this 2.5-hour Yoga Nidra Special, we will explore iRest® Meditation, a structured and accessible form of yoga nidra that supports relaxation, emotional balance, and inner awareness. This practice gently guides you into a state between wakefulness and sleep - where the body softens, the mind settles, and insight naturally arises.

A pen and a small workbook will be provided to support your writing and reflection.

Welcome to our New Teacher Ryoko 🧘‍♀️

We’re delighted to welcome Ryoko Jones (RYT® 500 – Registered Yoga Teacher with 500 hours of certified training) to our AGOY team!

Ryoko is an experienced yoga teacher and philosophy educator who teaches between Australia, Japan, and India - and she’s also a familiar face in town and within our local yoga community. ✨

She currently teaches with Matangi Yoga School in Kyoto, offering Yoga Sūtras and Bhagavad Gītā studies, and shares Yoga Philosophy with India Yoga United.

After a long and sincere search for a spiritual path, Ryoko discovered Ashtanga Yoga and continues her studies with her teacher at the Ashtanga Yoga Gurukula in Karnataka, India. She is also deepening her knowledge of Sanskrit and Vedic chanting in Bangalore.

Ryoko brings clarity, warmth, and accessibility to traditional yoga teachings, and teaches on trainings and retreats across Australia and Japan. We’re very excited to have her join our community. Welcome Ryoko! 💜

Holiday Timetable 🎄

Our holiday timetable will run with reduced classes, and the studio will be closed from 24th December to 4th January. Memberships and class packs will be extended for the days we’re closed (excluding public holidays), and our new 2025 printed timetable will be available to collect by the end of this week.
