Meet the Board: Dr. Peter Smith
Dr. Peter Smith is a public service psychologist working with the Department of Juvenile Services. He also works part time in an emergency room setting and serves as adjunct faculty at Stevenson University.

Dr. Smith recently rotated off the APA Council of Representatives and remains active in Division 55 Society for Prescribing Psychology.

As President-Elect, Dr. Smith chairs a budget subcommittee and supports the President in advancing her goals and leading delegated projects. This term, his focus is on rebuilding MPA’s infrastructure, updating policies and procedures, and providing additional support to the President as needed.

Outside of work, Peter is an active martial artist, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Aikido, and still prefers to drive a stick shift.

Meet the Board: Dr. Stephanie Wolf
Dr. Stephanie Wolf serves as President of the Association and brings extensive expertise in child trauma and forensic psychology. She practices forensic psychology nationwide, providing evaluations, case consultation, and testimony, and also teaches as an adjunct professor at George Washington University.

Dr. Wolf is a co-owner of Maven Psychology Group, where she also sees patients clinically. As President, she leads the Board of Directors, oversees committees, works closely with the Executive Director, and helps set the vision and priorities for the Association.

This year, Stephanie is focusing on four key goals: Tone, Transparency, Membership, and Policies. Outside of work, she enjoys international travel, reading, yoga (including handstands!), and spending time outdoors, especially at the beach.

CALLING ALL MPA MEMBERS!

The MPA Membership Committee is hosting one-hour focus groups to reimagine membership costs, categories, and benefits, and we want your voice at the table.

We’re recruiting 10–12 members for each of three groups:
-Early Career Professionals (up to 10 years post-licensure)
-Mid-Career (self-identified)
-Late-Career (self-identified)

Each group will meet one time only for one hour.

Bonus: One participant from each group will be entered into a drawing to receive a voucher to take any MPA Home Study program of your choice (up to 3 hours of CE).
