It takes a lot of diligent work and patience to be healthy; I know from experience. I grew up on a diet full of processed and packaged food for almost 30 years - everything from microwave popcorn, cheez-its, and fruit loop cereal. I've also had an autoimmune disorder, Alopecia, for over 20 years, which causes my hair to fall out. In 2011, I developed a new approach to food as a result of my travels throughout South America. It wasn't easy, but I began making wiser food choices, little by little eliminating toxins from my lifestyle. Simply put, I won't eat anything that is genetically engineered, pumped with hormones, or processed and refined. In addition, I would ride my bike to work instead of driving a car and purchase local grown fruits and vegetables, even though they can be more expensive. As a result of my commitment to this healthier lifestyle and two years later, I lost 30 pounds, an added bonus. Body Thyme is your resource for sustainable health. As I pursue a Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Herbalism, I will live on Little Corn Island, Nicaragua. I am a Holistic Yoga Instructor at Yemaya Island Hideaway and Spa in the middle of the Caribbean. Please join me on this journey as I share new insights from my studies and explorations. At the very least, I hope to inspire a positive change and provide soul-lutions for healthier living for you and your loved ones. My mission is to have happier, healthier humans thriving together. Please join the Body Thyme community to learn from and educate each other and increase awareness about sustainable health together. May all beings be happy,
Rebecca Gonzalez
