Any red wine lovers out there!? 🍷

Have you ever noticed how your mouth is stained after drinking? You can thank mega purple for that!

Mega purple is a thick grape juice concentrate that can be added to red wine. Wine producers add it to help standardize the bottle, adding color and massive amounts of sweet fruit flavor (it has a whopping 68% sugar content)

Gross right?! And with no nutrition label they don't ever have to tell you it's in there! 😡

Scout and cellar wines are clean crafted and lab tested to ensure the wine has NO ADDITIVES, EVER! No mega purple here!! Just grapes and sunshine🍇☀️🍇☀️🍇☀️🍇☀️

I'm loving this new (to me) way of roasting spaghetti squash.
I was having a hard time cutting it raw so I put the whole squash in the oven untouched.
I let it roast about 15 minutes 400° and then cut it in slices. It was the perfect texture for an easy slice.
Drizzle with olive oil and return to the oven until tender.
Remove the seeds and replace with your favorite sauce or topping.
Today was a pesto meat sauce😋

I had to do something with the left over crust!

No sugar added
Frozen blueberries
Thickened super fruit juice with gf flour
Combined with cinnamon and added to crust.

Bake and enjoy!

Chicken pot pie! 🥧

Cooked chicken breast in the instant pot
Sautéed onion, potatoes, carrots, green beans, peas in olive oil.
Added shredded chicken
Chicken bone broth thickened with gluten free flour added to make a gravy.
Season with salt, rosemary, and dill.
A simple GF pie crust made with coconut oil laid on top.
Bake at 350

What does that even mean??
When I make my morning smoothie I try and get every color of the rainbow involved.
Here I have strawberry, carrot, mango, kale, blueberry and cherry. But why?

Every vibrant color of your produce helps your body in different ways. When you consume all of them together a synergy takes place producing even greater health benefits.

It can be hard to get every color of the rainbow in every day. That's why I choose to also add whole food concentrates to my diet. This is a simple way to assure I'm getting the proper variety every single day.

When I have a little extra time on the weekends I make my dinner x2

Tonight was stir fry. I doubled the veggies and put half in a freezer bag. This will make for a nice quick meal during the busy work week.

Meal prep may take a little extra work but it's worth it to keep on track and feeling good!

Equally excited I get to try this tonight🍷

I gave up wine for a while because it gave me awful stomach problems the next morning.
After a little research I found clean crafted wines don't bother me! 👏

It turns out most wines you get in the stores are full of added sugar, additives and chemicals to give them uniform taste and color year after year😝

Clean crafted wine has one simple ingredient: GRAPES🍇that's it!

My tummy certainly knows the difference!

I make my own dressing with
▪️Avacado oil mayo
▪️Fresh squeezed lemon
▪️Garlic clove
▪️Anchovie paste
▪️Nutritional yeast
▪️coconut aminos
▪️salt
▪️pepper

The croutons are from Big Y

I start every day with the rainbow of fruits and veggies🌈
I try to pack a variety into a delicious smoothie that masks the healthy stuff from my girls.
We all love them! They taste AMAZING and are a great start to the day

I ran out of my omega supplement so I thought I would make that the focus of my meal.

We are very conscious about what we eat, organic, simple ingredients whenever we can. When we discovered clean crafted wine, it was a no brainer.
No added sugar, no chemicals, great taste, yes please!

Happy Saturday! Time to sit for the first time this week and relax. FitVine was the winning choice, as always 🍷. If we decide to have wine it is always red. Although whites are delicious they are higher in sugar and lack the polyphenols of red wine. Studies have connected having a glass of red wine a day with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease. Just remember to drink organic to avoid any risk of pesticides. Fitvine tests all of their grapes for toxins and impurities. Drink up!

We’re always trying to improve our sleep as parents of toddlers. Always feeling stressed and tired. REM sleep is extremely important for over wellness. This stage of sleep is critical for learning and memory. Whereas deep sleep restores the body, REM sleep restores the mind. This is where you consolidate everything you have learned throughout your day. Increased REM will also boost your mood throughout the day.

This is where I struggle. My deep sleep is good but REM typically suffers. Why? I have noticed through my Oura Ring that when my body temp is elevated my REM is low and I’m exhausted when I wake up.

In comes the newest biohack. The chili pad! This is a pad that goes under your mattress cover that cycles cold water through it. You control the temp with a remote. I’ve been setting it to 56-58 degrees. Last night was day three using it and it was the best recorded night of sleep I have tracked in a year. Over 2 hours of REM and deep sleep. I felt amazing this morning. I am pleased with the purchase!
