The Lamar Middle School Band Booster is hoping to get a few more registrants signed up for the 3rd annual Rockin' Rhythms Run at Camp Mabry on Saturday, January 28th. Race starts at 9am, and we have warm ups starting at 8:30am! The Jazz Band and several other bands will be performing for you to cheer you along your walk/run.

2022 Rockin' Rhythms Run
presented by Loewy Law Firm
Join us for an up-beat and musical 5K that supports the Lamar Middle School Band with the second annual Rockin’ Rhythm Run hosted by the Lamar Band Boosters club at Camp Mabry. Live music from the Jazz Factory will help drive you through this race.
Proceeds will directly support the Lamar Fine Arts Academy band program and our talented musicians.

More parkland!
Yesterday, Council unanimously passed Item 43 to acquire new parkland along Bull Creek! This land will add a new trail head, amenities, a signature park, and a scenic overlook. I'm excited to expand the Bull Creek Greenbelt and protect this environmentally sensitive area. See the map below for details on the expansion.

There are days where I'm feeling super productive and hitting it on all cylinders. Then, I have those days where I'm processing that we're still in the middle of a pandemic and the woman I used to be. I'm still her, but evolving.
I'm learning how to give myself grace in this season while growing and grieving. Everything that is happening TO me is also happening FOR me. For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.
