I'm Kerry. And so Jagged Roots was born! Thank you for stopping by!

I still haven’t decided what I want to do when I grow up, but for the moment I’m a writer, an actress, a witch, a crafter, a mum, a wife, a singer, and a lover of wine. Not always in that order...

I've always loved 'making something from nothing,' and having bored my kids to death with more craft projects than they could cope with, I decided to start my own business as a way of putting my skills to good use. As time went on, the dormant witch inside me began to awaken, and I started looking into more ways to help myself, and others around me, using herbs, crystals, and the power of mind over matter. Jagged as in rugged and uneven, growing and diversifying. Roots as in our heritage, our blood, and in our twirling tendrils bubbling just under the soil, keeping us grounded. My most popular pieces are the mini Spell Jars - tangible extensions of your inner thoughts and desires, and only as strong as your beliefs. My favourite pieces are the beautiful, unique Hagstone pendants - natural, holey stones I find on my walks along the beaches near my home in the North East of Scotland. Hagstones have long been considered powerful, protection amulets, used to ward off illness and provide positive energy. Found along riverbeds and on beaches, the hag stones’ natural holes are the result of years of water erosion, and so it is believed that some of that element’s healing power is retained within the stone. It is also thought that if you look through the hole in the stone, at just the right time, you are able to see the world of the Fae, where faeries and other magical creatures live. Love

I know there are lots of Christmas Fayre's going on, but I just wanted to remind you of this one tomorrow in Monifieth.

Santa needs a helping hand to write his Christmas list,
so elves and sprites and faeries check that nothing has been missed.
They watch o'er every boy and girl to check if you've been nice,
then Santa takes a note of it and always checks it twice!
Then once you've hung your stocking up you shouldn't try to peep, 'cause
when Santa comes on Christmas Eve you must be fast asleep.
And so before he starts the job that he must undertake,
he quickly sends his elfin friends to check you're not awake.
So place this magic little door somewhere out of sight
so Santa and his elves can bring you joy on Christmas night...
