The Vulnerable Persons Registry (VPR), an initiative in memory of Lewis Wheelan, aims to improve the safety of those at greater risk during emergencies. Marie Innovation Centre's Acorn Information Solutions (AIS). Marie, AIS provides key information to local first responders (Fire, Police, Paramedics) and where authorized, PUC and Canadian Red Cross, in order to improve safety during:

Large-scale emergencies

In the Algoma and Manitoulin-Sudbury regions, the VPR provides key information to Emergency Management Coordinators to support registrants during large-scale emergencies. The VPR has attracted over 25 local partners, making it a true community initiative.
