We are a Guide Dogs for the Blind chapter in Bryan/College Station, Texas. Please contact us for more information on how you can join our mission!

Guide Dogs for the Blind – College Station are proud to raise guide dog puppies for the largest guide dog school in North America. Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) provides exceptional guide dogs for individuals who are blind or low vision. GDB does not charge for its services and receives no government funding. Raisers in our club receive their guide dog puppy at approximately eight weeks old, and the pup will return to one of GDB’s campuses for formal training between 15 and 17 months old. We are responsible for teaching the puppies good manners and basic obedience. Puppy raisers can have other pets in their home and if you are not able to commit to raising a puppy full time, there are still other ways to get involved with our local puppy club, such as puppy sitting. And, GDB's puppy raising program complements many FFA, 4H, home schooling, high school, and college programs.

Our pups and raisers had so much fun at our annual pumpkin patch outing! The pups got to work on lose leash walking, dog distraction and appropriate petting behavior. They all did amazing as well as our raisers!

Europa is back in Texas! She decided that being a guide dog wasn’t her path but luckily this sweet girl got adopted by her raiser! We are so excited that her raiser Corynne got to adopt her and this girl will be living her best life! She’s also the perfect roll model for Natalie and Neal!

Sweet Button got selected to be a k9 buddy and graduated a few weekends ago! She’s now living her best life in Texas with her handler. Brooke and Macie did such an amazing job raising this sweet girl!

This past weekend was a very special weekend for 2 of our raisers!! Cloe and Noah both received their aggie rings! Congrats to them and anyone else who got their ring!

Last months club meeting we got to hear from another service dog organization on campus ! After that we got to work on target with gentle leaders, using treat-n-train and working on walking by distractions with confidence! We are so proud of our pups and thankful for Patriot Paws coming out!

Yesterday some of our leaders and raisers got to give a presentation at a Patriot Paws meeting! We are so grateful for the opportunity to do things like this! Thank you for having us!
