Today is World Dense Breast Day, a time to raise awareness about the critical role breast density plays in breast health.

- Nearly 50% of women over 40 have dense breast tissue
- Dense tissue can hide signs of cancer on a mammogram, since both appear white on the image
- Breast density is only visible through imaging, not something you can feel or notice
- All mammogram reports now include breast density, helping women better understand their individual risk
- Those with dense breasts may benefit from additional imaging like breast ultrasound or MRI

Our roots go back to 1985 when we formed Southwest Medical Services to reach hospitals and imaging centers across Arizona with the latest in radiology technology and services. Southwest Medical Services grew to supply imaging centers with state-of-the-art equipment, finding creative ways to do so in spite of their budget constraints.

In 2000, Assured Imaging was born out of Southwest Medical Services to address the specific needs of the women’s healthcare market with a focus on breast health technology. Assured Imaging was the first vendor to introduce what has since become a standard of care in mammography imaging; R2 Computer Aided Detection (CAD). This technology has been shown to assist Radiologists in locating up to 22% more cancers found in breasts – up to two years earlier. We are proud to say that Assured Imaging quickly grew to become the largest non-OEM provider of this life saving technology in the United States.

Assured Imaging was also the first company in the Western United States to offer full-field digital mammography (FFDM) for screening and diagnostic mammograms in a mobile application with on-board ultrasound, bone densitometry (DEXA), and P.A.D. plaque screening; including ABI vascular, abdominal aortic aneurysm, and carotid artery screening. As demand steadily increased for mobile services Assured Imaging grew to custom build mobile coaches and trailers to deliver these services, using nothing short of state-of-the-art equipment materials and technology.

In 2007, due to the rapidly growing need for mobile services, Assured Imaging Women’s Wellness was formed. Immediately, we began partnering with Arizona’s premier healthcare providers to aid them in reaching all women to offer breast cancer screening and follow up care. The services we offer grew to include bilingual scheduling staff, specialized radiology interpretation, radiology technicians, medical clerks, billing staff, licensure/credentialing staff, patient tracking, sales/marketing support, and service/maintenance personnel. We use these resources to offer complete, industry leading healthcare service to our clients/patients. Since 2007 Assured Imaging Women’s Wellness has become one of the leading providers of mobile digital mammography in the United States.

Assured Imaging Healthcare in Motion began in 2015. We have grown to specialize in preventive health screenings for both women and men. In addition to being one of the largest providers of mobile 2D and 3D digital mammography in the Western United States, we have expanded to include: Bone Density Scans (DEXA), Skin Cancer Screenings, Diabetic Screenings (Retinopathy, A1C, ABI and urinalysis), and Heart Health screenings. Our portable units can be rolled in and out of offices to provide 2D digital mammograms and ultrasound. We have a fleet of coaches, furnished with state-of-the-art imaging equipment. Our standards are high. We strive to meet the needs and expectations of each and every client and patient we serve.
