A positive pregnancy test after IVF is a beautiful moment. It also marks the beginning of a new phase. 🩵

After a positive result, we continue your medication for the first number of weeks to support the uterine lining and give the pregnancy the best possible start.

Around 6 to 7 weeks, we schedule your early pregnancy scan. This is when we look for a heartbeat and confirm that the pregnancy is developing in the right place.

These early weeks can feel emotional and sometimes anxious. Our team stays closely involved, guiding you on medication, answering your questions, and supporting you every step of the way.

If you are thinking about starting treatment or simply want clarity on your options, we are here to help.

Exercise during IVF is a common concern, and in most cases, gentle to moderate physical activity is not only safe but beneficial during treatment. 🤸‍♀️

👉 Movement can help reduce stress, support circulation, and improve overall well-being.

However, intensity and type of exercise may need adjustment depending on your cycle and your individual medical plan.

Always follow the guidance of your clinical team. 🩵

Spotting can feel incredibly worrying, particularly during treatment or in early pregnancy. 🩸

In many cases, light spotting is completely normal and not always a sign that anything has gone wrong.

If something feels off or leaves you feeling unsure, reach out to your clinic or healthcare provider. That’s exactly what we’re here for. 🩵

This is why. 🩷“Ray and Team,Thank you for making our dream come true! You are miracle workers. We love you always!” 🩷

A first IVF cycle provides valuable clinical information, including ovarian response, egg quality, fertilisation, embryo development, and endometrial preparation.

👉 At a review appointment, your doctor will assess how the cycle progressed, identify any areas for adjustment, and discuss the most appropriate next steps. This may include changes to medication, stimulation protocol, timing, or overall treatment approach.

It’s also an important opportunity to revisit your goals and ensure the plan moving forward is aligned with them.

If this reflects your situation and you would like a second opinion before proceeding with another cycle, we would be very happy to help.

For us, it’s never just another thank you card. 💕

Behind every card is a story — a journey.
Months, sometimes years, of hope, patience, and trust.

When we read these messages, we feel every word and how much they mean to our patients and to us. 🤗

You are the reason we do what we do.

This is why it matters. 🩷

If you’re planning fertility treatment through the HSE, here are a few important things to know

👉 Meeting the criteria and getting a referral from your GP does not automatically mean treatment is approved; A Fertility Hub must be recommended and refer you to an approved fertility clinic.
👉 Only approved private clinics in Ireland, such as First IVF, can deliver HSE-funded treatment.
👉 Even if you don’t meet the criteria, you may still access fertility tests and other treatments through a fertility hub. Please talk to your GP

At First IVF, we support patients at every stage, from initial assessments and referrals to HSE-funded and private treatment options, all delivered by an experienced, compassionate team.

If you’re planning your next steps and want clarity, a fertility consultation can help.

It could be someone you see every day.
Someone showing up, carrying on, and holding a lot beneath the surface.

So many fertility journeys are lived privately, often without words.

A little kindness, patience, and compassion can mean more than we realise. 💕
