Last night was our final Taste, Learn and Nourish event of 2025, our Christmas Masterclass.

It was a fantastic evening filled with festive food and drink, amazing conversation, laughter and so much joy.

A huge thank you to all of our guests who came and made the evening so special. I say this every time, but it really is the people who join us that bring the heart, energy and connection to these sessions.

We had delicious non-alcoholic drinks from that went down a storm and each of our guests left with a goodie bag including a beautiful handmade chocolate from ❤️

Had the most amazing time in Manchester yesterday on my first ever photo shoot for my business. I was so nervous beforehand, but I needn’t have worried for a second.

Nicki Cameron is incredible at putting you at ease, and her Four Seasons Package is such a brilliant idea. You meet four times a year in a small group, head out on location together, and get a bank of photos that feel natural and true to you. What I didn’t expect was how supportive the group would be - we encouraged each other the whole way through.

I, of course, turned up having totally over-packed (no surprise there!). I had no idea how to prepare, but the other women were so professional, friendly and generous with their tips. They really took me under their wing.

This shoot was a little different from what I imagined. Instead of being in a studio or a lovely property, we were right out in Manchester city centre. I was worried I’d feel a bit of a wally posing while people walked by… but honestly, the group made it feel completely natural. We laughed, cheered each other on, and it ended up being such a fun, confidence-boosting day.

I genuinely cannot wait to see the final pictures but here’s a little sneak peek of what we got up to.

When my client first came to see me, they’d just been told they were pre-diabetic.

Join us for our Taste. Learn. Nourish. event — Student Kitchen Essentials — designed for young people aged 16+ (and their parents or friends).

Together, we’ll explore how to build a balanced plate for lasting energy, good concentration, and long-term health — all on a student budget.

We will demonstrate four simple, affordable meals they can recreate easily at home or university, and take home a printed recipe booklet, shopping list, and store cupboard essentials guide.

Parents, you can attend with your child or send them with a friend — either way, you’ll leave knowing they’re equipped to look after themselves well.

There was a time when Sarah* - a busy business owner, mum of teens and carer for her mum - felt like dinner was just another stress.

Most evenings were a dash to the supermarket after a long day, hoping inspiration would strike.

We worked together to develop a meal planning system, and now she has a weekly meal plan pinned to the fridge, and the last-minute rush is gone.

And the best bit is - others in the household can help too now they know what's for dinner.

Hitting your 5-a-day doesn’t have to mean expensive ingredients or extra time in the kitchen.

One of the simplest little tweaks you can make? Frozen vegetables. ❄️

Frozen veg is such an easy way to add colour & variety to your plate and boost your vegetable intake without the cost, the waste or the faff.

✋A portion is around 80g (or a good handful) and you can pop them into almost anything:

🟢Sauces
🟢Stews
🟢Curries
🟢Stir-fries
🟢Or simply boil and add to your plate

It’s one of the most cost-effective ways to increase your fruit and veg intake and hit your 5-a-day, especially when time is tight and you’re juggling a hundred other things.

Frozen vegetables are usually frozen within hours of picking, which means they often hold on to more nutrients than the “fresh” versions. Plus, because you only use what you need, they’re kinder on your wallet and the environment.

You might be surprised at the huge range of frozen options available now - from peppers to roasted veg mixes to mushrooms, onions and even leafy greens.

Sunday prep day - getting myself ready for the week ahead.

Here’s what it looked like for me today:

🥣 Two soups - one for the fridge, one for the freezer
🎃 Roasted pumpkin ready to use as an easy side later in the week
🍎Baked oats prepped for breakfasts
🍛 A curry portioned up for the freezer

I don’t do a full week of meals but investing just a little bit of time on a Sunday can save so much time, energy and decision-making during the week.

For me, having a few lunches ready, a dinner in the freezer, and time-consuming veg already prepped gives me more breathing space on those busy evenings when everyone needs something at once.

I don’t manage this every week. Some Sundays it just doesn’t happen, because… life.

But the weeks when I do prep, everything feels smoother, calmer and far less rushed. It’s one of those small, simple steps that makes a big difference.

If you’re juggling work, home, children, caring responsibilities - whatever your version of busy looks like - even a tiny bit of prep can help you feel more in control and less overwhelmed.
